cs:o players looking for the answer to Counter Strike 2 on Switch

September is almost up, but CS2 remains in a Limited Test state. However, its game developer – Valve, recently posted a hint on social media that the FPS sequel could finally be out of the aforementioned state and be officially released. This was further strengthened after a known data miner tweeted something that got the Counter-Strike community hyped about it.

A New Branch Update Suggesting That a Counter Strike 2 Release Is Imminent

The data miner known as Aquarius (@aquaismissing) recently posted a screengrab of what seems to be tweaks that were added into CS2. The post suggests that game developer Valve recently added a new branch dubbed CS:GO demo viewer (csgo_demo_viewer) as it is believed to enable CS2 players to watch demos from Source 1.

The gaming YouTube channel of LukeEats believes that this upcoming CS2 feature would likely allow players to watch old matches that could be carried over to the upcoming game. To that end, the content creator has reason to believe that the highly anticipated FP shooter could be officially rolled out within the next 24 to 48 hours.

Another CS2 Beta Branch Was added…then Removed

The data miner posted another screenshot that pretty much shows that another beta branch has been added, though this was swiftly removed by the game maker. The branch was dubbed as “TODAY,” though there were no further details about what this branch is about. Additionally, it gave the data miner that March 22 vibe all over again with the now-removed update. Nonetheless, if the name of the branch is anything to go by, Valve could be finally rolling out CS2 any moment today.

For those unaware, when CS2 was made known, the game’s early Beta access was rolled to several selected players after the depot was labeled as “TODAY.”
