What is Enchantment in Coral Island?
In a few words, Enchanting is essentially a new way to increase the strength and durability of your tools with specific perks in Coral Island. The new feature was introduced to the game with the 0.3 update, and is now fully realized with the finished release. However, many players remain in the dark when it comes to how this system actually works.
Simply put, this feature is fueled by your friendship with the Giants. Just as you make offerings at the Lake Temple’s altars, you can also appease the Giants with curated bundles. These often include resources like gems, fossils, and artifacts, which can be found in the mines of the Cavern.
Having completed an offering, you can then choose to enchant a specific tool with a perk of your choice. Basic tools only sport one slot, meaning they can only be given one perk. That said, you won’t want to waste these benefits on low-quality equipment. The better the quality of your tools, the more slots and perks you’ll have access to. This also goes hand-in-hand with the number of Giants you’ve freed.

How to Unlock Enchantment in Coral Island
To unlock the Enchantment feature in Coral Island, you’ll just need to meet Grog in the mines. If you can manage to help him, he’ll then lead you to the Village of Giants. There, you’ll find a shrine that looks a lot like the one erected by the Chieftan during the Mythical Dream quest at the start of your playthrough. However, the structure found in the village can actually be used to power up your tools in new ways.
How to Enchant Tools in Coral Island
As you work to free Giants in Coral Island, you’ll gain access to new perks that you can enchant your tools with, increasing their effectiveness. This is done at the shrine in the Village of Giants, where you’ll need to complete offerings to apply perks to your equipment. Once applied, enchantments can also be levelled up.
