Since its release on October 25, the Black Ops 6 players have had several complaints, however, probably the most common ones were about the maps. The community was dissatisfied with the size and flow of the maps. Well, not even a week after the release, the Black Ops 6 devs announced that the most-requested map, Nuketown, and the Infected mode were coming.
Developers Share They’ll Add a Mode and a Map
On October 28, the official X account of Treyarch, the Black Ops 6 developer, shared some very exciting news. They stated: “Launch was only the beginning. Tomorrow, the Infected are coming to play. Nuketown joins the party on Friday. LFG”.
The reactions to the news were overwhelmingly positive. Players were hoping to see Infected added soon, so they shared what was so appealing about this Mode. DaleDenton08 noted: “Honestly more hyped for infected. One of my favorite modes, consistently fun matches”.
Another player, IAMG222, shared their favorite thing about the Infected Mode. They said: “Hopefully Infected has dismemberment like Cold War”. Other players excitedly chimed in, some even suggested that dismemberment should be added to all Modes.
Black Ops 6 Players Are Excited Can’t Wait for the Upcoming Map
As stated, the Infected Mode is coming to Black Ops 6 on October 29, while the new map will be added on November 1. In addition to being happy about the Infected Mode, players were over the moon because of Nuketown.
Also, many fans pointed out that Treyarch knew just what to do after the disappointing start of the game. They even made memes. James_E_Rustle joked: “Treyarch, after seeing everyone complain about the maps for the 16th CoD in a row”.
However, all jokes aside, the players were genuinely interested to see how Nuketown would play, especially with Omnimovement. One player, Conicu, noted: “It’ll be interesting to see if Nuketown feels claustrophobic too. That’ll sort of determine if it’s actually the new maps or Omnimovement making the game feel so chaotic since we know Nuketown is well designed”.
Furthermore, fans said that they wouldn’t mind seeing more older maps. ShellyPlayzz stated: “I’d be happy if they just added old maps down the road. I miss firing range and I forget the name of it but a snow map that has an indoor space with computer terminals in the middle”. If you are curious, the map in question is Summit.
We’re always glad to see the developers listening to the player base. As a result, both parties will get what they want. We’re also looking forward to trying out Nuketown and the Infected Mode. Overall, it will be an interesting week in Black Ops 6. So, see you out there and enjoy.
