After having a promising start, this freshly released game faced lots of complaints. The devs decided to introduce some exciting additions to appease the fans. Well, prepare yourself, as this weekend (November 4-7), all Black Ops 6 players will get double XP, perfect timing, as Nuketown is about to drop.

Double XP Weekend and Nuketown Arrive on November 1

On October 31, the official Treyarch page made an announcement on X. It read: “TOMORROW: Nuketown 24/7 + 2XP Weekend. We’re turning on 2XP, 2X Weapon XP, and 2X GobbleGum earn rate November 1-4. You know what to do”.

Now, as you know, the devs previously announced that they’d add probably the most loved CoD map, Nuketown on November 1. They also offered some more details on the upcoming Playlist. The devs noted: “Playlist details for tomorrow: Nuketown 24/7 in Featured Playlists. Hardcore Nuketown 24/7 in the Hardcore tab. Includes TDM, DOM, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed”.

Black Ops 6 Players Are Hopeful for the Future

As you may have expected, the Black Ops 6 community had a lot to say about the double XP weekend and Nuketown. First of all, many players were simply overjoyed that they’d get to progress faster. Several players admitted to taking Friday off just so they could start grinding on time.

However, others criticized the devs for doing a double XP weekend while there were still some glaring issues with the game. Virtualme001001 stated: “Why not fix the game first??? Like resolve all the burst packet problems, the settings that reset every launch, the camo that stuck, etc”.

Still, the majority of players called the addition of Nuketown the biggest win. Some players even joked that all other maps would be abandoned over the weekend. Disturbing_Trend_666 said: “You can’t sweat on Nuketown. That would be the most absurd waste of effort imaginable. Everybody knows every single spawn point, every possible route, like the back of their hands at this point. It’s just mindless fun to tickle the little lizard brain at the base of the skull. You can’t beat the insanity no matter how hard you sweat”.

Truth be told, it’s been a while since we played on Nuketown, so we can’t wait. And the double XP weekend is a nice incentive for players to keep playing while the devs are working on fixing some of the issues. So, we’ll see you out there, enjoy the game!
