Activision recently wrapped up its Black Ops 6 beta and the response has been largely positive, with many players enjoying the changes that Treyarch was able to make, due to the four-year development cycle. With just a few weeks to go before the full game launches, all eyes are on Black Ops 6, but Activision has revealed some disappointing news about the game’s campaign.

In a statement to CharlieIntel, Activision revealed that the upcoming campaign won’t be available as part of the early access period, for those that pre-ordered the Vault Edition.

“The team is fully focused on October 25th. We are excited about all the game has to offer across Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies. This year, we made the decision to ensure the community gets to dig in to any and all modes that they want at the same time, so we are back to one massive global launch moment October 25th. As such, there is no Early Access beat this year for Black Ops 6, just the countdown to launch.”

Recently, players that pre-order the latest Call of Duty can jump into the campaign ahead of its official release date as part of an early access period. This was the case with Modern Warfare II and III which allowed players to play through the story before the release date. It was a great move as the campaign is overlooked by many gamers, as most don’t want to miss out on the early multiplayer hype. However, there will be no early access period and all players will have to wait until October 25th to jump into the Black Ops 6 campaign, multiplayer, and zombies modes.

The Black Ops 6 beta recently came to an end and the reception was extremely positive, with some calling it “the best Call of Duty since Black Ops 3.” Players don’t have long to wait to jump in again as the full game is set to be released in approximately 6 weeks on October 25th. There are still 9 maps that weren’t shown off during the beta, so there is plenty of fresh content to dive into at launch.
