Read on to see how to fix the Broken Spear in Act 1 of Baldur’s Gate 3.
How to Fix the Broken Spear in Act 1 of Baldur’s Gate 3?
Fixing the Broken Spear is easy. Simply right-click on either the Shaft or the Head, and pick the Combine option. Combine both of them and you will get the Vision of the Absolute spear.
Where Are the Pieces of the Broken Spear?
- Shaft of a Broken Spear – the Shaft is in the possession of True Soul Edowin. You can find him on the forest road, somewhere in the middle between the Blighted Village waypoint and Emerald Grove Environs waypoint. He’ll be lying on the ground, dying, surrounded by his siblings. Whatever option you choose, you can loot the body later and, among other loot, you will find the Shaft.
- Head of a Broken Spear – the Head is located in the Owlbear’s Nest. You will find the entrance to it, named Cave Mouth, in the Forest. Just continue from where you found the Shaft, and you will see a path leading downwards, to the river. The Cave Mouth is north of the bridge, and a successful Survival check will reveal that it is an Owlbear’s cave. Defeat the Owlbear mother and you will find the Head when you loot her.
What Is the Vision of the Absolute Spear?
Vision of the Absolute is a spear with no Weapon Enchantment bonus, but it has a special ability:
- Absolute Night – Blind targets that fail a Dexterity saving throw. Deals an additional 2-12 Piercing damage to certain creatures that sport multiple sets of eyes.
Creatures with multiple sets of eyes you will come across are Beholders (Spectators to be precise) and various spiders, so keep this spear handy when fighting them.
