Made by the folks at Obsidian Entertainment (Pillars of Eternity and Fallout: New Vegas), Avowed is a first-person adventure game, set in the world of Pillars of Eternity – Eora. “You are the envoy of Aedyr, a distant land, sent to investigate rumors of a spreading plague throughout the Living Lands – an island full of mysteries and secrets, danger and adventure, and choices and consequences, and untamed wilderness.” There are numerous different areas to explore, a plethora of weapons and spells to use, and Companions to interact with. Avowed Release Date

The official release date for Avowed was February 18, 2025.

It is playable on Xbox Series X and S, and PC.

According to Steam, the price for Avowed is $69.99. There is even a Premium Edition for $89.99, that offers access to the game five days earlier (a bit useless now), two premium skin packs, a digital artbook, and a soundtrack.

PC System Requirements

Surprisingly, Avowed does not require a powerful PC to run it. Even low-to-mid rigs will perform just fine.
