Both endings in Dredge follow the same route throughout the story; however, the good ending requires you to explore more of the game to get it. It’s easy to miss, so most people may get the bad ending.

How To Get the Bad Ending In Dredge
To achieve the Bad ending in Dredge, players must collect all five Relics and return to Blackstone Isle. Once there, they must enter the Mansion and speak to the Collector, expressing their desire to make the final voyage.
After this, a familiar beam of red light will appear in the ocean, and players must sail to it, located at map coordinates G8, to see a sparkling spot in the water. Interacting with it will initiate the final cutscene and lead to the Bad ending in Dredge, with players earning the Unshackled achievement.
How To Get the Good Ending In Dredge
To achieve Dredge’s Good ending, first, collect all five Relics. Before turning them in, however, make a detour to an unmarked island located at map coordinates P10 and anchor at the dock. This visit is because the Old Mayor awaits you by the campfire, and you need to speak with them.
After the conversation with the Old Mayor, head back to your vessel and sail towards Greater Marrow. Speak with the Lighthouse Keeper and ask about the silver and crimson book. Once done, head to Blackstone Isle, enter the Mansion, and speak with the Collector.

When the Collector asks for the final Relic, refuse to give it to him. He will eventually give you the Crimson Book. Return to the Lighthouse Keeper in Greater Marrow, and return to your ship after the conversation.
Finally, sail to map coordinates G8, where you’ll find the same sparkling spot in the water as in the Bad ending. However, interacting with it this time will result in the Good ending for Dredge.
Is There Any Post-Game Content in Dredge?
There is no post-game content in Dredge, so once the game is finished, it’s finished. However, if you have anything left to complete, such as pursuits or finishing your encyclopedia, the game warns you before you reach the finale so you can do whatever you want.
Or after you complete Dredge, you can reload from your last save and once again sail around, finishing things to your heart’s content.
