Developed by MSCHF, Tax Heaven 3000 is a dating sim that will help players prepare their 2022 tax return. Keen-eyed readers might recognize MSCHF from their collaboration with Lil Nas X for his Satan Shoes. The company has recently been making headlines with its Astro Boy-inspired Big Red Boots. Now the company is taking on tax-filing software giants like Turbo Tax with their virtual girl, Iris, and you know what? We’re all for it.

Now, there are several caveats regarding using Tax Heaven 3000. Before being delisted on Steam, the anticipated release date was April 4, 2023. Assuming it comes back to the platform, that would give players a scant two weeks to play the game and prepare their taxes before the filing deadline of April 18, 2023.
Also, Tax Heaven 3000 is designed only for 2022 US federal income tax returns for single filers without dependents. It might not check for all possible deductions and credits. At its core, it’s designed for simple W-2 statements and won’t be used for amended or late tax returns. Finally, it won’t help with state returns.
While Tax Heaven 3000 does take a relationship to the next level by asking players for their Social Security Number, there is some reassurance that Tax Heaven 3000 doesn’t connect to the internet. That being said, it might be best to use a filler SSN in the game and then change it to your actual SSN on the filing paperwork.
