Always Read the Fine Print! The First Descendant Players Worried About the New Limited-Time Swimsuit Skins
The First Descendant players are dismayed by the fact that the new swimsuit skins are limited-time, after Nexon promised that limited-time is a thing of the past. But the situation is not that dire if you read the fine print.
TFD just had its first anniversary, and celebrates it with a sweet update that added some game improvements, new events, the well-received second character rebalance, and a new set of swimsuit skins, complete with a brand-new pool in Albion. To no one’s surprise, the pool and the skins are the talk of the town, and social media is full of images of various Descendants chilling in the pool, usually wearing the new swimsuits. And who can blame them, as those skins are pretty awesome. However, players also noticed one detail with those skins: it says the new The First Descendant swimsuit skins are limited-time. Didn’t Nexon say they are done with those?
The First Descendant Players Worried About the New Limited-Time Swimsuit Skins
Months ago, when Season 2 was getting close to release, Nexon said that they are done with limited-time skins, ie, that moving forward, no skins will be available for a limited time and then be gone from the game altogether, never to be seen again. The fans took this pretty well, happy to know that they don’t have to rush getting new skins if they don’t want to. Maybe not the best decision from a revenue standpoint, as FOMO is a great motivator, but still a noble decision by Nexon.
When the anniversary rolled out, TFD players noticed that new swimsuit skins have the “Limited Time” tag. Naturally, they were not that happy with it, saying that Nexon has gone back on their word, with the reintroduction of Limited Time skins. Across social media, like Reddit and X, the players are posting screenshots of the shop and asking what that is all about. Folks join in with some saying that greed was “won” once more, and others adding that this is a F2P game, so they have to make money somehow. But they can all settle down, as things are not that bleak.

Nexon said that no skins will ever be available for a time, and then removed, but that does not mean they can’t have seasonal skins. Keen-eyed players noticed that the new swimsuit skins have a disclaimer, written in fine print, only noticeable when you are trying to buy them. That disclaimer says:
“This product may be sold again.”

So, this means that this batch of swimsuits will probably be available for purchase again somewhere in the future, most likely next summer. It stands to reason to have seasonal skins, with winter-themed skins being released around the New Year, and swimsuits being available during the summer. So, lower your torches and pitchforks, things are not as horrible as they seem, and Nexon did not go back on their word. And hey, the Oasis Party set is still in the shop and is going nowhere.
