Are There Classes in No Rest for the Wicked and What Are They

One of the most important questions for every role-playing game is about Classes, and No Rest for the Wicked is no exception. If you want to know all about the classes in the game, stick with us and we will explain everything.

No Rest for the Wicked takes players to the island of Isola Sacra. The mysterious plague has spread among the population of the island. Taking on the role of a holy warrior, the players must investigate the source of this plague and help the people of Sacrament survive.

Are There Classes in No Rest for the Wicked

No Rest for the Wicked differs from the usual route that is taken by many contemporary action RPGs. Instead of a traditional class system where players choose to play (such as Warrior or Rogue), this game takes a different approach. In No Rest for the Wicked, there are no classes to choose from. Instead, your gameplay will be determined by the weapon you are currently using.

The official description of the class system is: “No Rest for the Wicked uses a soft class system, meaning priority is on weapons rather than picking a specific class/role. Leveling up earns stat points that you can put into: HP, intelligence, dexterity, strength, and stamina. Stats like intelligence, dexterity, and strength can directly make weapon types more powerful. We want players to be able to create any build imaginable – even ones we haven’t thought of!”

Progression in No Rest for the Wicked

Every weapon your character equips in the game has a unique playstyle. Furthermore, focusing on weapons instead of a rigid class system might be a great way to enjoy the game. Especially if a stat allocation system is not brutal and unforgiving, but allows relocation of stats. This would make it easy for players to change playstyles and essentially their “class” when they run into a new weapon.

Leveling up in No Rest for the Wicked earns players stat points. These points can be distributed between HP, strength, dexterity, stamina, and intelligence. Increasing strength, dexterity, or intelligence will make different weapon types more powerful, allowing players to create their own “class”.
