Will There Be a Demo of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been hailed the most highly anticipated game of 2023. The Breath of the Wild sequel will continue the story introduced in the previous title, but it will also introduce brand-new gameplay features we have not yet seen from the Legend of Zelda franchise.
With so much to look forward to with the game’s upcoming release this May, eager Zelda fans are in search of more gameplay footage and news on Tears of the Kingdom.
Given the unprecedented hype surrounding the newest Legend of Zelda installment, will we receive a demo for Tears of the Kingdom?
Let’s find out.
Is There a Demo for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?
At present, no, there is not a demo for Tears of the Kingdom.
Nintendo has neither confirmed nor denied an upcoming demo for Tears of the Kingdom. Because of this, the possibility of a demo is still very much up in the air, leaving some room for speculation.
We have received demos for Legend of Zelda titles in the past, although they have been few and far between. About three years ago, Nintendo released a demo for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, a prequel to Breath of the Wild. However, Breath of the Wild was not given the same treatment.
This does lend us a small amount of hope for a Tears of the Kingdom demo, although an announcement grows less likely as we near the game’s release date. This may not be a bad thing, though.

Breath of the Wild garnered a similar amount of anticipation, nearing its release in 2017 without the help of a demo. It’s more than likely that this contributed to the game’s notoriety as the driving force behind the success of the Nintendo Switch console. Without a demo, Tears of the Kingdom can reap the rewards of its predecessor’s success.
Apart from this, Tears of the Kingdom has also been a topic of conversation among its producers, who have teased gameplay elements that will “change the game world.”
Instead of a demo, there is certainly enough excitement surrounding the release of Tears of the Kingdom to take the new title and the Legend of Zelda franchise to all-new heights.
