In a rather silly oversight by GameStop, the upcoming video game SpongeBob HeroPants for PlayStation Vita has been listed as a Mature rated title on the retailer’s website.
VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "Ever since the advent of full-game downloads on consoles, it seems the market has slowly been shifting towards a digital future where games are delivered through internet connections rather than physical disks. While the convenience this brings is undeniable, and plenty of gamers have embraced having a stuffed memory card in their Vita, there are major pitfalls that are slowly beginning to show, one of which is that games can be delisted without any prior warning, leaving them lost to time unless you bought them before they disappeared."
Denis Murphy writes- When I was younger I loved the cartoon Rock's Modern Life which followed the life of well, Rocko, of course. Rocko was a wallaby, and the series was something I essentially grew up on. Featuring lovely animation and a fair share of adult humour (anyone remember the episode where Rocko worked at a sex line?), it still holds a place in my heart. Sadly though, Rocko's Modern Life only lasted 4 seasons, and ultimately met its demise in 1996.
Huh. I had no idea Rocko's Modern Life only had 4 seasons. It felt like it lasted longer than that.
SpongeBog HeroPants is a competent 3D platformer with as many bugs and glitches as collectibles to find. The game is clearly designed with kids in mind, and in that regard it does its job admirably. Even with all its frustrating faults, it’s a game that kids can enjoy. It’s a simple, light-hearted experience that may not be what veteran gamers want but it’s a hit with the target audience.
I'd laugh if a kid walks into a GameStop and is asked for ID when trying to get the game.
lol Who am I kidding, no kid owns a Vita. ;)
Spongebob rated M for mature, um what? lol
Goes to prove how intelligent is....I highly doubt a spongebob game will ever get a rating above E10+
If its based off Sponge Knob Square Nuts I wouldn't be surprised at an M rating and that's the censored version.
Rated M for Magical?...
