I cant help but think I'm actually an anti-gamer. Innovation excites me. I love seeing what the current generation of hardware and control mechanics are doing to innovate gaming and bring it to new audiences while also supporting the old ones.
I think thast gamers have started to split into the boring stuck in the past traditionalist gamers who want titles that kill you at every chance and would be happy to go back to the days of the quarter crunching arcade, the new casu...
I'm excited but cautious. The full game isn't a Playstation exclusive but they're clearly focusing on it. I don't think my psn friends list is as up for this as my 360 one...
Is it blank? It's blank isn't it.
I am quite looking forward to Eden. I played through Rez relatively recently as part of my Games History module at Uni and am probably somewhat overexcited for that game now. I'm sure one of us at GameJudgment will get a review of some sort up as close to release as we can manage.
I just bought a Move Starter kit the same way. Got it for £23 rather than the rrp of £50. Couldn't say no.
As for the article, I've had my Kinect since just after launch and got more use out of it as a mouse through a PC hack than I have through the Xbox. The possibility of something great is THERE. It's just not shown up yet.
I have always said that the "lag" was due to the shows that it was demoed at. Works much much better i...
This is true. A lot of people think it's just another small step up like DS to DS Lite when it's really not.
The other problem is that Nintendo were discounting the DSiXL heavily a few months before the 3DS came out. As soon as the 3DS was announced I started seeing cheaper DSiXLs so anyone who hadn't already bought a DS, bought that one and now thinks it's too soon for a new one.
It doesn't. It uses a different 3D method.
I got mine with Amazon for £187. It's only really a problem because Nintendo didn't really set an RRP over here because a while ago when they did that they got sued by someone. Can't remember the exact details though...
@badz149
Augmented Reality, built in games at launch, cheaper games in a better storage medium, built in SD card rather than a Sony designed card that's useless in most devices, built in gyroscope, built in microphone on the first gen model, somehow better battery life (or at least equal), plays DS games, better analogue control, touch screen...
Not sure what else but clearly that's not enough for most people...
How about content? More game content would keep me more interested in an MMO rather than my female character's clothes shrinking. My WoW Fem Night Elf's clothes have been shrinking off her ever since I started. It's actually getting on my nerves.
This one's a bit weird. I know it plays the same, cause it's the same thing I've played for 11 years. But it feels new. There's enough changes to make it different while still being a Pokemon game.
Pokemon's also the only RPG I really enjoy playing.
Woo! I can stop reading at the first paragraph!
Networking is good though. Attend events that give you a chance to network when you can.
I've done something similar. I have an awful fear of heights which somehow transfers to Minecraft for me. When you jump off a tower though there's this weird feeling as you're falling, even though it's not really happening.
Just another reason I love this game.
I'm considering buying both just so that I can play the PS3 and PC versions alone/with move and grabbing the Xbox version to play with my friends who don't have PS3's or powerful enough PCs to play on Steam. I imagine the Xbox version will be a lower priority however... Which makes a change considering I've had my PS3 for less than a month and the Xbox since it came out. (Admittedly 3 Xboxs) Good move by Sony and Valve for doing this. Really is encouraging sales on the PS3.
Never, ever, ever, EVER play New Super Mario Bros with ANYONE you want to be able to talk to afterwards. EVER.
Surprised to not see Pokemon to be honest. I was expecting it to show up. Kinda glad it didn't, 'cause I still love the Pokemon Games. XD
Even I'm starting to falter somewhat with purchasing Sonic games. I'll probably still buy the rest of the Sonic 4 Episodes though.
I listen to around 20 to 30 different podcasts, usually on my walk between Uni and home or while I'm falling asleep. Helps me take in more news about games and most podcasts actually have fun with what they're doing so it's quite entertaining.
I am studying Games Design though so I have a very good reason to take in as much news and opinions on games as I can.
I play Eve while listening to podcasts when I'm mining. If I'm doing anything important I do tend to focus. Also, Minecraft. Great for podcasts.
It's £219.99 in the UK which is around $350. Get over it.
All that and Kinect Voice commands. It'll be nice to use voice commands that actually work for a change.
