Mark writes, "At PAX yesterday, Dallas Dickinson (right), Director of Production for BioWare in Austin, Texas and Blaine Christine (left), Senior Producer for BioWare unloaded a metric ton of information on Star Wars: The Old Republic. If you’re looking to get a handle on the game’s features, story, classes, etc., you’ve come to the right place."
EA is nearing an agreement to move the ongoing development and operation of MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic from BioWare to third-party studio Broadsword Online Games, IGN has learned. The move is intended to allow BioWare to focus on Mass Effect and Dragon Age.
A new update for Star Wars: The Old Republic is coming out on PC and the patch notes provide us with an in-depth look at all the new changes.
I loved this game and have played since launch but don't let this article fool you, this game is a step above life support. While they are still technically updating the game, the updates are few and far between and there is a significant lack of quality control, so many little bugs that have been present for years.
SWTOR players, get ready for a new month of exciting in-game events! Here's what's coming up in January 2023.
When will they do another beta? I really wanna play this. I still think a SWTOR prequel would have been awesome.
Whyyy Bioware, why?! Why would you make such a huge, deep Star Wars MMO then ruin it with the most boring combat imaginable?! Everything about this game looks good but the combat looks like absolute shit. Everyone stands in one place while being shot at by blasters, so god damn lame.
And they expect us to just sit back and take it because "that's how MMOs are and you should be used to it"? What about all the new MMOs coming out with action based combat? And what about all the single-player fans you are trying to attract? Everyone is so blinded by hype for this game that they don't even see it, but when it actually comes out, I have a feeling you're going to have a lot of disappointed people on your hands.
I'm confused, how is the combat action packed? Because every now and then your character will automatically do an animation with his lightsaber to block an attack? What about making a block button and letting us time it and do it ourselves, or dodge out of the way with other classes?
Seriously, for anyone thinking this game actually has "action packed combat", go check out some videos of TERA where you actually have to aim your attacks, block and dodge enemy attacks, and enemies actually MOVE and you'll be as down on this game as I am.
