Bleszinski: 'Gears 3 must push Unreal Engine to limit'

Epic's Cliff Blszinski has said that each edition of Gears of War has to push Unreal technology to its breaking point.

When GamesMaster asked whether it was important for Gears to push the Unreal Engine "to the limit" because of its flagship status, CliffyB replied, "Absolutely" but put similar onus on other Unreal developers as well.

"We want our licensees to make games that are as impressive technically as Gears too," he said. "Each game is an emissary, an evangelist for the latest version of what the tech can do."
