Golden Sun 3 To be on 3DS?

Baxy-Z have just been tipped off that Golden Sun 3 could end up on the Nintendo 3DS.

The tipster emailed Nintendo about the game a few weeks ago to see if they could get any more information on the game. However, they replied saying that they couldn't disclose any information. As a result, someone from Nintendo made a little error and revealed some juicy news about the title. The email ended with:

"However, with the 3DS being publicly revealed at this year's E3, keep your eyes peeled for information then."

That's pretty decisive information right there. However, we're marking this as rumour, but maybe there's some slight possibility this is true.

Redempteur5150d ago

i really don't care .. if it's on ds or 3ds
i just whant to play another opus

i just finished GS1 5 times and GS2 3 times.. ( 100% )

iceman29295150d ago

I could never beat the final boss... i tried and tried and just couldnt do it! i would take out a couple heads and then boom, he would all my guys in like 2 turns after that.

fatstarr5150d ago

I thought the final boss for 2 was easier than 1. But my team I had Excalibur (omg I turned off my gba like 500 times to finally get it.)
I had The sword that spit out the 2 dragons as an attack too. you also heal every round. I went with set summons as well.

Redempteur5149d ago

that's kinda overkill .. you can beat the final boss without that.

SInce the final boss can use your djinns agaisnt you , it's best to even then beetween your characters ..

KingKiff5150d ago

I have been wanting to have a replay of GS1 and 2 but my GameBoy Advance died many years ago...

This would be so sweet...

Did any of you find the secret cave on GS1 and then beat the big pirate ghost guy??? Way harder than the final boss for sure.

It's Time for a New Golden Sun

Alex DS. from Link Cable Gaming writes: "The franchise celebrated its 20th anniversary yesterday without a peep from Nintendo and that’s a real shame because despite only being three games deep, this is one of the best-received RPG series out there. In short, it’s time for a new Golden Sun."

Yea good luck. Put this in the pile with f-zero, kid Icarus, wario land, etc. and label it the "wt are you waiting for" pile

PrimeVinister1005d ago (Edited 1005d ago )

I would love to play a new Wario Land but it will never happen 😭😭😭

Tanoriss1005d ago

hah, seriously, they are sitting on a goldmine of IP's that they dont want to do anything with.

This has been overdue since the gamecube era

Golden Sun is a fantastic series. They should really continue it.
To say I miss Advanced Wars would be an understatement. Two of my top favorite series of the GBA.

Asuka1541d ago

My God I need more Advanced Wars in my life...

Knushwood Butt1541d ago

Advance Wars used to be portable gaming heaven for me. Great games.

BlackIceJoe1541d ago

I'd love to see a return of StarTropics. I don't think it will happen, but I'd welcome it.

addictedtochaos1541d ago

Agreed. They have a deep catalog of dormant IPs that they could reinvent for the Switch.

porkChop1541d ago

Where the hell is Golden Sun? It's been 10 years. All Camelot's been doing are Mario sports games.

Banjo-Kazooie isn't a Nintendo franchise anymore

Conker was never a Nintendo, especially since non of its game were even published by Nintendo

Sciurus_vulgaris1673d ago

Nintendo never owned Rare or the original IPs that the studio created during the N64-era. I can’t believe the author lists Conker and Banjo-Kazooie as Nintendo franchise, despite both series having releases and re-releases on Xbox consoles.

Neonridr1672d ago

Nintendo owned 49% of Rare at one point. Rare was a second party developer up until Nintendo sold their stake to Microsoft.

RizBiz1672d ago

I don't think the author ever said first-party titles. A game that only appears on one console can be considered a franchise of that console.

PhoenixUp1672d ago (Edited 1672d ago )

Not true

On the back of the Diddy Kong Racing box art, this was written

"Trademark of Nintendo, Diddy Kong, Banjo and Krunch characters licensed by Nintendo"

Meaning Nintendo licensed those characters to Rare. Note how Conker isn’t among the listed

wheresmymonkey1672d ago

No that means Nintendo licensed those characters, meaning they paid Rare for their use. Conker wasn't in Diddy Kong Racing and they never owned any of them.

Sciurus_vulgaris1672d ago

Nintendo licensed Duffy Kong, Banjo and Krunch from Rare.

PhoenixUp1672d ago

@ where

There’s already proof that Nintendo at a point owned the Banjo-Kazooie franchise

http://trademarks.justia.co...

Trademark History:

Nintendo of America Inc - Original Registrant
Nintendo of America Inc - Owner at Publication
Nintendo of America Inc - Original Applicant

Conker debuted in Diddy Kong Racing alongside Banjo

FallenAngel19841672d ago

@ Sci

That doesn’t make sense. If Rare owned those characters mentioned in the trademark then there’d be no need to specifically mention just those three in particular as being licensed by Nintendo

Relientk771672d ago

Still waiting for Golden Sun.

RizBiz1672d ago

I'd really love another Conker, but not as long as M$ owns the IP.

wheresmymonkey1672d ago

I think the writer might want to look up Double Dragon Neon.
