Why would it be a good thing -.-

Extermin8or3_18h ago

Um no it's not a good thing, i was looking forwards to a interesting setting for an open world gsme... 1900s sicily would be a pretty compelling setting imo if done correctly. I was expecting something very different to what we will now be getting. All these gsmes that turn American cities into open worlds and only assassins creed really consistently bothers to put the effort in todo so for other locations. As someone with sicilian heritage I find this very disappointing.

It's a shame they are ditching the open world. That's absolutely gonna hurt the game and the sales numbers. People want that stuf. A fun open playground. The trailers for this game doesn't even look that good. Looks confusing as hell. Like they don't know what game they are making.

It is priced at $49.99. From other articles I read, the game is more linear so probably like Mafia 1 and 2 instead of 3 (full open world). I am guessing around 10-12 hours.

RaidenBlack3d ago

Yep, I feel it'd be even more linear than the first 2

I Already pre- ordered the Deluxe Edition 👍

Too many massive open worlds this is refreshing. Concentrate on a more dynamic smaller area.

Open is good, too open where you easily get lost.. nah. Unfortunately even Nintendo has got a taste of open world and want to make huge deserts now, this is why I prefer Mario 3D Land and World, open enough for some exploration and alternate paths but not desolate either.

Gameplay looks fluid. Hope the story is on point.

Here we go, a nice Stuttering mess with the best game engine in the industy UE5.

RaidenBlack2d ago (Edited 2d ago )

Yea ... Felt abit sad when they revealed switching to UE5.
Mafia 1 Remake looked really good with their proprietary engine and that was on last gen hardware.
Coulda upgraded it to take advantage of the new hardware.

I can see the Digital Foundry review now, on PC you know there will be stuttering.
