Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a cinematic RPG experience that showcases both visual and audio prowess.
The RPG based on a new IP, new characters, would have a very hard time getting approved at big companies like Ubisoft, says Sandfall boss, and added it would have taken 25 years to develop.
Oh yes. Passion projects and especially turn based are a no no to the big heads. Sandfall really showed em what's up
Hopefully this is a wake up call for the big publishers to revive the AA model.
Stellar Blade was another great example just a year ago
This game just had that magic for me.
Same feeling I had playing Astrobot. This I my GOTY so far
These are the best character builds in Clair Obscur per character.
generally, it doesnt matter until after the half way mark, but will be more important later on
I’ve been beating every single boss with my build… except phase 2 Simon… can’t believe they made that menace
Paul writes: "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a stunning game. It is emotional, beautiful and utterly captivating; an absolute no-brainer"
Hell yeah, can't wait to start this after work today!
I am stuck between playing this or the days gone remaster this weekend.
I never played the original days gone and it was sitting in my library for years
Trying to decide if I play this or Lunar Remastered next. It’s hard for me to pass up Lunar but I might.
The craziest thing about it is that it was made with a development team of 30. How many employees do the big studios have? The likes of Ubi, EA etc couldn't dream of ever producing a game as good as this. Veilguard was the last RPG I played and this game is in a completely different league to that, how many employees did Bioware have working on that? Sandfall have wizards on their payroll or something to create something so amazing with just 30 employees. My GOTY so far by far and I'm only 8 hours in.
I wouldn't go that far, but it is very very pretty
