GamesRadar+: "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is an outstanding visionary debut from Sandfall Interactive, which isn't merely a love letter to JRPGs but builds on its traditions with a distinctly French identity, making for one of the most exciting and rewarding action and turn-based hybrid battle systems ever devised, while putting you through the emotional wringer. This is an old-school feeling JRPG as dynamic as Persona but with parry-filled battles as hard-won as Sekiro."
WTMG's Kyle Nicol: "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is truly something special, combining some fantastic turn-based combat and RPG progression with a heartfelt and well-told story about dealing with loss and paving the way for the future. It’s one of the finest RPGs in years and will likely be remembered for years to come."
Kepler Interactive and Sandfall Interactive have announced that the turn-based RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has now sold over 2 million copies.
Awesome! All the success is well deserved. My GOTY right now. Damn what an amazing game
It's a great game no doubt well deserved success but i must say i'm in act 2 right now and i don't quite get the super crazy reception for the game, i mean 9.7 on user reviews on metacritic is insane.. seems a bit absurd.
Just ordered myself a physical copy, but it isn't due to arrive until the 24th May. Gives me time to complete The Last of Us Part 2 (I know, I know, I'm behind the times).
TSaA writes: An active turn-based RPG that's full of charm, style and varied combat ideas, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is an exceptional take on the JRPG.
