Liking that art style ... hope the remaster delivers
(Yea the color grade might disappoint some folks, but the rest better be good ... will still try out Skyblivion as well, nevertheless)

It is honestly not bothering me. Oblivion sets Cyrodill on fire essentially. It makes sense there's ash in the air to make everything look a little warmer.

The colour grade was disappointing but it was only one main preview shot that made it look like a field in a Aussie summer that caught me off guard I'm still willing to give it a chance it might grow on me

Sweet!

Hopefully the rest of the leaks were right and it releases this week and not 6 months away. That would kill the hype pretty much.

Hopefully will shadowdrop tomorrow on Game Pass.

I can´t wait!

Releases today on all platforms. I absolutely assume this will also get a port to Swtich 2. I have a feeling that Microsoft hasn't announced its Switch 2 slate yet for a few reasons:

1. Devkits for the Switch 2 to 3rd parties just recently went out. They probably wouldn't have had on for more than a month or two
2. Microsoft already knows that a lot of folks who own a Xbox or PS5/PC will also be getting a Switch 2. So its smart to launch on those consoles now and then catch double dippers on Switch 2.
3. Microsoft may want to wait for a few months to a year after launch to for the base to truly grow. Their main focus right now is probably Call of Duty on Switch 2.

The fact that the leaked box art says the game is called The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion REMASTERED leads me to suspect that perhaps, it may, perchance, possibly be a remaster.

It seems to be one of those really involved remasters like Spyro and Crash but not enough to be a remake.

Profchaos5d ago (Edited 5d ago )

Spyro was a remake in Spyro's case they rebuilt everything as there was no source code from a older interview they said they had nothing leftover from the original games

For crash it's more of a remaster plus as they reused the wire frame and level geometry

Can't wait to play that Dark Brotherhood mission in the mansion where you've got to kill everyone without them knowing, you'd get a bonus if you killed them creatively. Sucks this kind of mission never made it into Skyrim.

Pushing the [X] off the wall! I remember reading about that in a preview/ review of the game and it sounded so immersive.

Whodunit? A great quest and very fun to replay albeit a bit limited in dialogue.

I wish other devs, including Bethesda, would try to make quests like that. I'd rather play 10 of these quests than 100 fetch, go-kill, redundant ones we get in every open world game.

TheColbertinator5d ago

The bonus came if nobody was aware of whodunit at the end. The first I killed was the Legion officer since he chose to go to sleep so I stealth killed him.

One of the most memorable quests in their Elder Scrolls games.
