Where Are All the PS5 Games?

Yea, I wouldn't mind more 8-10 hour epic adventures with amazing storytelling vs more large, overly bloated games. I'm really getting burnt out on large games too.

There is always room for large games, but they better be exceptional, bc I'll only play a few.

The way Microsoft is going with Xbox I say right now they are worse then Sony when it comes to management.

MS has lights on them and it looks doomed from their end yes, but Sony is so different from previous gen’s with no communication no announcements no excitement..

Well there were 3 this year, Rebirth, Rise of the Ronin and Stellar Blade.

There was 1 in October last year, Spider-Man 2.

There are four we know "of", namely Wolverine, Bluepoint's new IP, Naughty Dog's new IP, and Media Molecule's new IP.

I think people are giddy because Sony is unusually quiet, but I'm expecting some news by June. Think a lot of this tension can be eased with one good showcase.

We had many more PS5 games this year, but if only counting 'not available on Xbox', there is also this small game, Helldivers 2.
Then it was Granblue Fantasy ReLink.
PS5 had plenty of games already, but let's pretend it didn't.

By this new logic pokemon, metroid dread, Bloodbourne, quantum break, smash bros ultimate aren't "exclusive" because the studios aren't first party... just so they can say playstation has no games.

Since 2024, Foamstars, Granblue Fantasy Relink, Final Fantasy 7 rebirth, Rise of the Ronin. And even Stellar Blade JUST came out last week.

Most of that is third party sure, but to sit here and act like the PS5 has no games is outrageous.

I have been on this site since the PS3 days. Been a hardcore fan since the PS1. PS5 has been compare to previous PS console is the worse PS gen in terms of AAA, new IP, story driven games.

I wonder if the reason behind they haven't announced anything is due to the Pro being announced/released soon. Maybe Sony wants to show of their first party games on the Pro hardware to entice people to upgrade. Just a guess on my part.

I think people misunderstood my comment here. I was sarcastically answering the title of the article because there have literally been PS5 games in the last few months, including some huge ones with Rebirth and Helldivers 2, Stellar Blade just came out and we know at least a bit about what's coming.

The same news article circulated just after Final Fantasy 16 released and a few months before Spider-Man 2.

All it's going to take is one good showcase for these people to pipe down for a while xD But it's easy to ask where all the PS5 games are if you just ignore the ones that release!

Been waiting on to many games these last few years, first rebirth, dq12, anything Ms touches, etc

I'd appreciate some smaller titles here and there to round out the gaming scene. While this year hasn't been particularly bad for 'new gen' titles, Sony's own studios seem to be lagging behind a bit. Most of their releases have been either cross-gen or remasters/remakes, and so far, there hasn't been anything from them this year.

I'm ready to see ps5 power utilized again, spiderman 2 looked so good and play so smooth in 60fps, the last of us 2 remaster looked good af too, I hope we get some more gems cause they're becoming scarce af nowadays

This is a myth. People are so focused on big open world AAA games and live service that they don’t pay attention to AA games and indie games. Even a mediocre shooter like Immortals of Aveum would have been par for the course in 2010. Now it’s an also ran at launch. Even a game like Alan Wake 2 has trouble selling. If there is a drought of new releases, why aren’t people buying this game?
