So is this actually worth picking up? I remember it having some hype upon reveal but then it just kinda disappeared.

It's actually pretty fun Had a blast playing this!
It's basically one side playing left 4 dead and the other side is playing the mastermind in Re Resistance.
My only complaint is how you need to have some level buff before the game gets fair.
But it's quite a nice little title.

No - it feels like a game you’ve already played 5 times. Unsatisfying combat. Feels like those asynchronous horror multiplayer games mixed with Aliens Colonial Marines

Predator, Evil Dead, Friday the 13th, Ghost Busters, others, that could have a great single player adaptation turn out to be multiplayer games like this. Not my genre, so disappointing for me.

I personally wish it wasn't a Multiplayer but a full fledged single player campaign with Multiplayer on the side. I would've loved a continuation of evil dead army of darkness original ending where he took too much of the potion and ended up in the future.

I’m a die hard evil dead fan and I wanted to like this so bad but I just couldn’t get into it. It’s not my type of game. I would have preferred a single player story experience. Even though it’s not my type I have no regrets in supporting the franchise with the day one purchase.

That game is so bad, everything feels so janky and unfinished. Nothing feels satisfying, some animations look decent but that's about it.

Got it for free on epic store, took me less than 10 minutes before I uninstalled it. Can't even change the res in that game in a simple manner.

As far as I am concerned, Resident Evil VII is still the best Evil Dead game available
