Speaking for myself with no interesting AAA exclusives releases since September 2019 (Gears 5) & nothing being talked about being released throughout this year I still see no reason to acquire the console at this point in time.

They can blame don matrick all they want but he is the last Xbox head who actually knew what it took to compete with PlayStation. Phil Spencer has implemented all of original DRM policies that don matrick talked about but under different names with little fan fare/attention. By the time Xbox studios are ready to maybe compete with PlayStation for sales/GOTY awards this generation and market share will be even more favoring playstation. Why you think Sony wants 50+% of market share. A lot of people who switched from Xbox 360 to ps4 and now to ps5 won't have reason sto switch back to next Xbox because they have and will have even bigger library of games and friend lists on PlayStation
Ms didn't just lose the market share after the success of Xbox 360 they basically gave it away and now I don't think they can compete with PlayStation anytime soon
For a company worth over a trillion they shouldn't be doing this bad. It's not complicated to sell consoles you need exclusive games and they missed this point for so long and now are playing in catch up mode while Sony even during a global pandemic has been able to release a lot of games. It's called being prepared for present and future. Not just making halo, gears and Forza over and over. Xbox fanboys are just as much to blame for this because they praise Phil and Xbox so much. If we demand better only than they will listen
Disagree all you want these are facts of Xbox brand. This is their 4th console and yet to sell 90 million forget 100+ million. Lost market share to PlayStation and Nintendo. What they didn't learn anything from Nintendo or Sony and instead thought they knew better and exclusives don't matter
If exclusives don't matter(something Xbox fanboys said again and again) why did Ms become so desperate and spent billions buying new studios. Even they realize we can't keep doing the same thing over and over and expect different results
Has anybody seen the grand clouds yet? That's the review I'm waiting for.
