They did drop PS3/Xbox 360 versions of Dying Light 1 even tho the PS4/Xbox One also just started.

Yea the PS3/Xbox 360 versions were cancelled due to hardware limitations.

The diference was huge. The main problem was the lack of ram! Both the PS3 and 360 and huge limitation on that are, but the 360 was better by having a single pool of room.

But the people who aren't moving to current gen and are just using their PS4 as a Warzone/Netflix machine won't have even heard of Dying Light, and they certainly won't buy it. This game is going to tank on last gen platforms. The install base argument has always been wrong, and it's wrong again here.

First off, I use my smart tv for netflix.
Secondly, I don't play warzone.
And thirdly, I haven't moved on to the ps5 yet because (I'm sure you may have heard about the issue all over the world) there isn't one available for me to purchase!!
And lastly, I still play several games on my ps4 so I'm not sure where you're getting those assumptions??

Good for you. My point is that a lot of people who stick with old consoles are more casual users and are not going to be aware of anything outside of the mainstream. You could replace "Warzone" with Fifa, Madden, or Fortnite.

Lol the issue all over the world. Sure, you can't walk into a Target in the middle of the day and expect to buy a PS5, but if you are paying attention online, opportunities come up all the time. Admittedly January was pretty dead, but there were plenty of opportunities in November and December and there have been again recently.

Also, I don't literally mean new games are going to sell 0 copies on PS4. I mean that enough of the playerbase that buys this type of game has moved on that it is no longer justified to hold the games back as cross-gen games.

Based on the quote in the article it seems there will be 3 modes. “Quality” with Ray tracing, “Performance” with 60FPS and “4K” with native resolution.
