It is not unplayable. I played at those frames and resolution in my ps3 back in 2014.

KilluaX31428d ago

That's cool, but it's 2020 and after having played at 60fps for the past few years, this really is unplayable.

Neonridr1428d ago

I mean plenty of PS4/XB1 games were still only 30fps and they handled perfectly fine.. so not sure about that one.

30fps is not perfectly fine.

Borderlands Players Are Getting Stuck in Loading Screens After Gearbox Pushes Updates to Games

Gearbox's latest patch for BL1, BL2, BL The Pre-Sequel have caused players to get stuck in the loading screen.

moriarty1889643d ago

So many games get screwed up due to bad patches or updates. Gearbox needs to fix this asap.

raiden_188643d ago

Don't they test the patches before releasing them?

neutralgamer1992643d ago

No anymore when we the gamers act as free testers

MizHDTV643d ago

Could never play 3 online because it would always freeze and restart my system
Deleted it soon after I got it
Wasn’t happy

VanHalen641d ago

I really have had enough of patches and updates. Stop releasing unfinished and broken games already! Keep finding myself playing Dreamcast and Super Nintendo lately. No damn updates loading nonsense etc.

I truly hate these kinds of update that just place ads for another game.

CorndogBurglar1515d ago (Edited 1515d ago )

At some point Capcom placed ads on their loading screens before every fight on Street Fighter 5. What's REALLY annoying is one of the 3 ads it cycles through is for.....you guessed it, Street Fighter 5 Champion Edition. So even if you bought or upgraded to Champion Edition you still get hit with an ad. FOR THE GAME YOU ARE CURRENTLY PLAYING!

It would be comical if it wasn't so annoying.

It can be argued that it's just the loading screen, and you would have to look at something during that 10 seconds anyway. But still.....its annoying.

ifrit_caress1514d ago

Capcom's SF5 is one of the worst fighting games this generation. Nevermind the annoying ads, the grindy free-to-play style is just abhorrent.

Skate-AK1515d ago

I only see mention of Steam. Did this update get pushed out to consoles too?

Seraphim1515d ago

When I jumped onto The Handsome Collection [PS4] last week there was an advertisement for B3. Not sure if it affects anything as I didn't play online or play for long but there was an advertisement.

rainslacker1515d ago

Dunno about Steam, but there has been advertising for BL3 on BL2 on PS4 for quite some time now. The ad box on the title/start screen is just some sort of connected banner service. I doubt putting up the BL3 ad broke anything, and it was probably just coincidental that they changed this ad at the same time as an update.

ajax171515d ago

So idiotic. Do they expect people who play Borderlands 2/Pre Sequel NOT to be aware of Borderlands 3??

battletrax1515d ago

There's always those players with no internet living under a rock on a remote island off the coast of Africa.

Only kidding. I agree, I think borderlands 2 doesn't need advertising for borderlands 3. Everyone is aware.

rainslacker1515d ago (Edited 1515d ago )

Probably not so much about awareness, but more that the more people see it, the more likely they are to click and maybe order it. Assuming they haven't already brought the game. Granted, I think people who would see it enough to eventually get to the point of clicking it, probably are more diehard BL fans who still play the game regularly.

YoungKingDoran1515d ago

This comes off as abit strange and pathetic to me. B3 has sold a huge amount already, this was not necessary at all

traumadisaster1515d ago

Need to select the option for auto downloads, that takes care of old games. Then for new games manually update.
