Bringing Bright Memory: Infinite to Xbox Series X

Zeng Xiancheng, Developer, Playism:

I am so excited to have the chance to announce to the world that my indie game Bright Memory: Infinite will officially be released on the Xbox Series X once development is complete, and it is very humbling to witness the advent of Microsoft’s next-generation console and what it can do.

This looks like Titanfall for some reason...

Lilrizky1489d ago

It's because the gun assets and reloading are taken directly from it. It's a Chinese developer so expect a lot of obvious grabs.

Either way looked awesome

Razmiran1489d ago (Edited 1489d ago )

If assets were taken directly they would face an ginormous lawsuit, dont go around spreading misinformation
The original Bright Memory used stock assets, but infinite is built from the ground up

Lilrizky1489d ago

@razmiran I didn't mean directly taken from it literally. I meant it's a copy. Sorry for the confusion

This game has been on PC and mobile for a while. It's about 1 - 2 hours long.

I was thinking bullet storm with a dash of titanfall

affrogamer1489d ago

The same gameplay has already been shown on PC at GDC 2020

Germaximus1489d ago

Only a person that's never played Titanfall would think that.

WickedLester1488d ago

I thought it WAS Titanfall 3 when I first saw it! I was so excited until Marty McFly pulls up in the DeLorean! The game still looks great, but I was a little disappointed when I realized it wasn't Titanfall.

At first I thought this was the new Crysis game
Or Titanfall
Either way wasn’t impressed

medman1489d ago (Edited 1489d ago )

@hellcat2020
I actually thought this was the most "next gen" looking title shown of any of the videos....the lighting, particle effects, explosions....even the water droplets beading on the camera in the beginning all looked pretty fantastic to me.

UltraNova1489d ago

Yes, it was the most next-gen out of all them for sure but nothing that can't be done on the XB1 X or ps4 pro sans Ray Tracing, if I'm brutally honest.

Fortunately both MS and Sony haven't shown their 1st party games yet so we have those to look for at least.

akaFullMetal1490d ago

Looks really cool and slick. Don't know the game company, hopefully it comes out great.

NovusTerminus1490d ago

Early Access on Steam is well received. It's just one guy making the game so it's understandable that you would not have heard of it before.

Edito1489d ago

It's a one man developed game :-)

ABizzel11486d ago

It's a mobile and PC game being ported to Xbox. You can play it now if you want.

XxSPIDEYxX1490d ago

Insane, especially considering it was all made by one person.

Seafort1489d ago

Bright Memory on Steam was developed by one person in his spare time. You can call BS all you want but it won't be true.

Bright Memory Infinite will also be free to all people that bought the game on Steam like myself.

yomfweeee1489d ago

This game wasn't one person, his original Steam version was supposedly one man. However he admitted he used stolen assets... so you can't say it was made by one person when you're stealing and using shit from other games.

Ratchet751489d ago

For one person to work on a game like that would have taken years.

I'm not saying it isn't true but I have some major doubts about that claim.

ABizzel11486d ago

The original was and released on mobile and PC, but this updated version is obviously backed by MS.

So you've played it? I would like to know more. Please tell us about the entire game, level designs, all the environments, the story, the sound, etc.

I just saw a few minute trailer and want to know more.
