It means the GTA series will now have Saints Row level writing lol.

Gta 5 didn’t have a great story, it had some great characters, but the story’s was eh at best. And I’d take some, just some, saints row-ish story in my gta. Like 10%

Yeah I've been saying that for a while just from a story perspective GTA IV and it's episodes had a significantly better story just looking at the story only..
The arc of all the characters involved had a significantly larger amount of depth simply killing a biker in GTA IV was trivial until playing tlad and realising it's Johnny's friend there's so much Intertwined

Psychotica1512d ago

Which is probably because the story mode was secondary to the online mode in the eyes of R*

sprinterboy1511d ago

I don't play GTA anymore, but it was always about just dicking about in a world with friends blowing shit up and doing random shit.
It was never about the story really for me anyway.

RosweeSon1512d ago

It will have an effect for sure but he was no one man band the game is a massive collaboration not to mention they’ve been making this game easy for a couple of years now planning locations taking their photos etc and scanning it all in, all the while a vast majority of the story could have been written and finished and left as his last gift for the company 😜🤞🏻 29299;✌🏻

Benioff and Weiss inbound to ruin it.

ilikestuff1512d ago

They broke my heart, I will never forgive them for what they did. I am in no way a writer and I feel like I could’ve ended that show better then they did

Knightofelemia1512d ago

You still have Michael Unsworth and Rupert Humpheries who also worked with Dan Houser on RDR 2 I am sure they could probably whip up an in depth story for GTA 6 they did great on RDR2.

ElementsUnknown1511d ago

Here’s hoping that also means I will like the protagonist in GTA as much as in RDR. The characters in GTA are such dirtbags compared to Arthur/John (who are trying to redeem themselves and care about others.)

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

CrimsonWing694d ago

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

Profchaos4d ago

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

Demetrius3d ago

Ikr mfs that greedy it's ridiculous

andy854d ago

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming

Demetrius3d ago

One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
