I loved the first 2 games, and 3 was alright. Unfortunately I have been disappointed by just about everything I've seen with Sims 4. The same thing happened with the new SimCity. They took a franchise and simplified it, and diehard fans just don't want that.

I didn't get around to Sims 4 till after two expansions had been released or I think I would have been just as bored/disappointed in it. I think Get to Work saves it but it seems so lazy that none of the old careers are "fully" featured.

I also never played Sims 3 and it had been a real long time since I had played Sims 2 so anything would have felt fresh and not stripped of features.
