Rumor Alert - First Screenshots From Alien: Isolation

I'm really not looking forward to this...not just because of Aliens: CM but because of the plot....Ripleys Daughter.....I mean come on.

I know it was only in the directors cut but she lived a happy, normal life on earth, found a husband, got married, died peacefully

Despite not being in the standard cut it's still there and basically is cannon.

Someone would of told Ripley in Aliens or Alien 3/4 that her daughter went looking for her and fought Aliens aswell. It dosen't show much interest in the franchise if they didn't think this through

Then think of it as something alternative then or a "what if" if you will, alot of franchise went this route.

my personal example is the dbz movies i was able to fit some of them in canon wise in my mind by making sense of it somehow

really at the end of the day its up to us individually to decide whats canon to ourselves, like to think its more fun that way

They're gonna pull the "oh weyland yutani killed the daughter and chose a fake pic to show Ripley." card so as not to break the canon.

It still doesn't change the fact that the primary enemies in this game will be cyborgs, yeeesh.

Don't care if its a different developer, will wait to see what the general gaming/reviewers have to say.

I had waaaay to much fun using the Hudson motion tracker in Colonial Marines. I love the franchise dearly so apprenheion is high with this one.

I remember Colonial Marines had gorgeous visuals as well...and look where that ended up. I will wait for offical reviews before getting this title.

I don't have my hopes up at all for this. I remember the preview shots for ACM back in late 2007/early 2008. Looked amazing, then years later we had a pile of Alien s@& dropped on us!

Oh dear. Creative assembly? Its not that I expect them to slack off on the project.... But... Cmon all they make is total war, known for being extremely buggy at launch. So a developer known for being buggy, has to break the perception of a broken series.... Not to mention they have next to no experience as a company with this sort of game....

Well.. at least the AI will be good.
