Does it feel very "Pay to win"? I tried it out on PC and enjoyed the basics, but I only played like an hour because I wanted to wait for the PS4 version so if I get bored of some games, I'll have an MMO to play.

Yes it's pay to win.

If you pay you can get rare items everyday all day but if you don't you only get the chance to get em like once a week. On top of it you NEED to buy at least one of the expansion packs for powers (you get new power and mission) to not be so extremely limited by the amount of stuff you can store in your bag and bank. And believe me, you'll need the extra space, if not you'll be forced to be constantly deleting good stuff and you'll not be able to buy expensive stuff either because your wallet/money is limited too. If you pay the monthly fees all this is unlimited which is extremely unfair and that's why it's pay to win just like most F2P games anyway.

But it's not all bad. If you don't pay you at least have like 20 hours of solid gameplay before you hit the level cap and the lack of better armor starts to held you back from high level missions and PvP matches. You still get to see the story of each villain or hero (depending on what you chose, most people chose heroes, so villains are at disadvantage on PvP in most cases) and let me say, it's worth it if you're not the type that sinks a life in an MMO's. The people that pay are those that will play the game for years to come.

Actually looking forward to getting back into this. Definitely one of the first games (right after Resogun) I'll be downloading as soon as I unbox my ps4 tonight after work. The screen shots look great. Got it for the PS3 and played it quite a bit for the first couple of weeks. Got tired of the shoddy voice chat and soon enough people (me included) started drifting away. Tried going back some time later but it was a ghost town on the servers. I thought it was fun but flawed on the PS3. Figure Sony has sorted out those last gen issues. I hope people give it a shot this time around and a nice PS4 DCUO community develops.

MMOs In 2021 Retrospective: Console Edition

WTMG's Thomas Medina: "As far as I’m concerned, console MMOs have always been in a weird place. PC is where the main game is most popular. MMOs were born there, work best there, and have the vast majority of titles. Mobile is then next in line, with touchscreens and portability that adds something new while functioning well. Console gaming, on the other hand, is not portable (for the most part). Plus, it uses a controller, which is not the best instrument when your control scheme requires a thousand buttons and a cursor. That being said, there is an audience, and where there’s money to be made, publishers find a way. So here we are with some of the biggest console MMO games and how I feel they handled 2021. "

Best Superhero Video Games Available Right Now

From Xfire: "A lot of video games are designed to make players feel like a superhero. However, very few actually feature superheroes or have players take on the role of a superhero. What makes this even worse is that there are even fewer superhero video games that can be considered good."
