Payday 2 developer Overkill has promised fans that features absent from the initial release – including safe house customisation and a missing enemy type – will be added to the game in the future.
GB: "Of course, Payday 2 has had its fair share of ups and downs as well, in spite of the success that it has enjoyed. For starters, the disparity between the game’s PC and console versions is a major issue that plagued the game for years on end, thanks to the frustrating optimization issues across platforms brought about by the Diesel Engine, which the game was developed on."
Payday 2 launched 10 years ago today, and a constant stream of updates still makes it worth playing ahead of Payday 3.
Starting today, Payday 2 is free at Epic Games Store. The free game offer runs until June 15. Once you claim it, it's yours to keep.
Take your time on those Fishers, Overkill. I'm good.
Releasing an incomplete game..........NICE"
Release an incomplete game, no firm release date on consoles, xbox version delayed, xbox digital version even further delayed. Yeah good job...
Sound effects & a lot of speech are all reused from the first game.
The levels are tiny & completely unoriginal compared to the first game.
A lot of aspects are broken or missing, including safe house & special enemies.
It's lost all aspects of fun, none of the levels or new features are any fun what-so-ever.
The matchmaking system is horrible! you cant choose level or difficulty & you cant search for whether a game is currently playing or in a lobby.
I'm so disappointed! I paid twice the price for Payday 2 as I payed for Payday 1 & it feels like I only got half the game, that's not even half as good!
Waiting for a complete edition thank you
