See how you’ll be taking down giant demons while getting help from the spirits of Japanese folklore heroes in Toukiden.
After the good feelings that came with the remarkable Toukiden 2, the Omega Force team in charge of this series has shown interest in working on a new chapter of the franchise, although they have recalled that at the moment they are developing a project that will be surprising, without offering more details.
After the release of MH World, Omega Force has a lot to catch up. Toukiden 2 is pretty good but I just can't help but find the game just more or less the same. The open world feature needs a few more kinks and additions instead of just "collecting items" and "killing enemies". The combat also needs to be improved upon because while it is indeed fast, it can get pretty repetitive. I also wish that the story and characters will be better, because I found the characters in TK2 to be a bit less varied compared to TK1, and even then a lot of the characters were basically stereotypes.
Finished Monster Hunter World and still looking for more? Here are some games that will sate your hunting genre appetite.
Koei Tecmo confirmed today that the Toukiden series is going to be "expanded" in the future
The monsters/enemies just need to be a bit more active, they seem a bit static a lot of the times. Not saying they should move between zones if they don't already, but at least a bit more mobile, from what I played anyways.
Looks good but I'm not entirely sold, been keeping an eye on it for a while now though and it definitely looks better and better
I'll probably like this more than Soul Sacrifice. I love my melee type style. Plus i like Koei games most of the time.
Can always try the Japanese demo if you aren't sold. I think it will be a great addition to the hunting monsters genre.
I do like that this one has villages and stuff as we don't really have one like this on the Vita at the moment. So I am all for it.
I really wish they would up the cartridge space, I really can't image how much more they could do with these Vita games if they even gave them as low as 8GB. Now imagine 16GB cartridges and what they could do with that.
This looks really good. I hope it hits that Monster Hunting sweet spot I've been craving.
jrpg has never been so sexy! gonna enjoy the English version like Doragon's Crown!
