Superannuation is back at it again, shedding light on a couple of studios supposedly working on next-gen titles, as well as an interesting job listing from Quantic Dream.
Insomniac and Volition bring it .
New next gen Ips? I'm down, bring it.
didnt insomniac announce this like 2 months ago , its on their website newspaper
I need a true Ratchet and clank sequel for Ps4 (something like a crack in time) because that game was amazing and a TRUE Red Faction sequel. I just loved Guerrilla and I think a new geo mod can be awesome for Ps4/nextbox/PC. Well and any new IP is awesome anyway :D
Insomniac Games, Ratchet & Clank for PS4
No , We need more new ips.
I hope they do make a Ratchet and Clank for PS4, but I hope they go back to the old formula. I don't want a game like All 4 One or Full Frontal Assault. I thought that A Crack in Time was amazing, so I hope they try to top that game.
Agree, the last 'real' Ratchet & Clank game for me was A Crack in Time. Definitely wanna see them go back to the original formula for the series
Fuse 2!!! Anyone? Anyone?
What I want from Insomniac: Ratchet and Clank ps4 Resistance 4 and to have Sony buy them. From Volition:make a true Saints Row game like the second one. Also buy the rights to Red Faction and make a true sequel to Guerilla
That would be awesome. I'll play it on either PS4 or PC.
Meesa wants Resistance 4! Meesa wants Resistance 4! Meesa wants Resistance 4! Meesa wants Resistance 4! Meesa wants Resistance 4! Meesa wants Resistance 4! Just my personal opinion.
I want Resistance 4 from insomniac themselves although they stated they're not working on the future R games after R3...
IF it's SR 4, I'll cancel it on PS3 and wait.
The next main installment of R&C seems likely. It's been a while and the hunger is there from the fans. ACIT was one of my favorite games this gen. It was so much fun. It was like playing a Pixar movie.
It better be a full fledged R&C game for PS4. Please Insomniac go back to the Pixar-like style of the Future games. I didn't like All 4 One at all and Full Frontal Assault was better but doesn't come close to the Future games.
Yep, Sony need to own Insomniac, I'm all for multiplat developers, but not in Insomniacs case. I think there gonna regret not allowing Sony to by them out, all the times Sony reached out & offered, as I think Fuse is going to get lost in the flood of last minute, last hurrahs to ps3...and ps4 is bound to kill what little hype & buzz EA allow this game to have, then when it fails, just as EA did to Free Radical when they rode them to release a premature, undercooked Haze, they will drop them like a hot rock. I really only see & want Insomniac to develop for ps consoles, as they seem to excel & shine, when they do so, & there head is in the game & not worrying about deals with 3rd parties & splitting up there teams to make several games at a time. They seemed to have lost there way, & Resistance 3 was there last great game, in fact, the greatest in the series (& I love the other 2, especially pt.1), but when it failed, they lost heart. They were then trying to follow too much in Activisions footsteps, by releasing a game every year (at least), in each of there staple series. I have seen this happen to so many developers before, that it is not funny, & I fear that Insomniac is the next in a long line of developers that will be eaten up by a cruel industry, that more & more, is unforgiving to a misstep (as evidenced by Free Radical's petty crime of one average, rushed, game on a totally new notoriously difficult to develop for platform). Similar fates affected one of PS1's greatest developers, in Oddworld Inhabants, when a simple platform exclusitivity switch meant dismal sales for the decent, if slightly mediocre Xbox exclusive (until now) Munch's Odysee, as well as the far better, but poorly selling Strangers Wrath. I think, from memory, Oddworld Inhabants were gobbled up by MS with the lure of mass riches, but in true MS style, as soon as Munch's Odysee underperformed & ended up a pack in title with MS's 1st machine, to try boost sales of both the game & the machine......it seems Munch wasn't a system seller, & that was left up to Halo....anyhow, I'm pretty sure that after MS chewed up & spat out Oddworld, that they were offloaded to EA & after Strangers Wrath was released under the EA banner, with EA's usual lackluster marketing for a 3rd party exclusive, then O.I. were hung out to dry & basically made the decision to leave the industry for many years. It's sad, & I will be devastated & will support & cheer for Insomniac by purchasing FUSE, if it is a great game, but something tells me, that no matter how good it is, it will get lost in the, The Last Of Us's, GTA5's, SR4's, Fifa's, Madden's, etc, etc, as well as the lure of new hardware......especially Sony's new powerhouse.
Resistance 3 was our last great game? Oh, that game we released 2 years ago? Out last big game to come out? Oh, ok. We sure have lost our way.
Insomniac really should have refocused on making this a next gen launch title, (for PS4 most likely). They made the huge mistake of renaming halfway through development & shifting artstyles, which is always a worry for shareholders & consumers, so, what they should have done is to strike some kind of marketing agreement with Sony & EA, to have FUSE become a PS4 launch window, exclusive. This way, they get new focus from both there own standpoint, & from gamers & gaming media, when they show off footage at events, such as E3, TGS, etc, etc. I agree with many on here though, as I also would LOVE a true Ratchet PS4 game.......in the vein of Ratchet: ACIT, as that game is the pinnacle of 3D platformers & the Ratchet series. Forget Mario Galaxy 1&2, as Ratchet:TOD up until & including Ratchet: A Crack In Time, kicked Mario's wannabe a$$ all the way back to uninspired 2D land. I care not, how the gaming critics carried on about Mario Galaxy 1&2, as I thought they were primitive looking, compared to Ratchet, & were actually a lot worse than Mario64 in terms of revolutionary gameplay ideas.
I hope Insomniac continue to work with Sony, it seems both of them work well together.
