Microsoft: 'We Feel Really Good About What Xbox One Is'

Following significant changes to its DRM and connectivity policies, Microsoft is happy with what Xbox One has become. Speaking on Major Nelson Radio, Microsoft's chief product officer Marc Whitten lauded the company's decision, briefly discussed the future, and said, “We feel really good, frankly, about what Xbox One is.”

The system itself isn't bad, but it has nothing over the PS4 except its price (as in... it's 100$ over the PS4's price)

The PS4 was designed with a x86 PC architecture, making it the easiest to develop for between the two consoles. It also allows self-publishing for indies which is a massive bonus.

X1, on the other hand, only has Kinect. Let's not pretend it's actually something worthwile.

But actually I'm really curious. What do you think X1 has over the PS4?

Looking at this generation purely as a consumer both systems a fine. Personally I like the look of the xbone. I like that I can use it as a dvr and also record my gameplay with it. I like being able to use the kinect to navigate my system. As novelty as it may be. I use the espn app and ufc app. Im oooking forward to seeing what they will do with the deal with nfl. And the new tv series halo. 300,000 servers is impressive and I feel online will still be dominated by xbox. Not ps.

Dont know why you ps4 fan kids think the ps4 is that more powerfull, they both have an 8 qcore amd jag processor. So far what sony has show in graphic quality fails to impress me. Ps4 sales may be high this year then x1. Next year x1 will shine in gaming glory , n ill bet x1 sales will be higher then ps4.;-)

I hope they can shuffle things around for it all to now magically work without the whole DRM / check-in integration part. If not, XBOX owners might be in for a rough ride in the early stages as MS try to figure things out.

They just use that as a PR spin since their ram is inferior and apparently they have had to underclock the cpu. They have to come up with something. Sony said the ps4 can do cloud computing as well. They're just not betting farm on it.

MS has had a bad habit of this since the first reveal. They talk about things but either don't show them in action and don't explain things clearly at all.

They never went in detail over who the "retailers" were that would buy your used games when it was an issue, and as you'vbe said they haven't shown anything related to this "cloud" they keep talking about.

Well not to contradict you or unintentionally come off as a Nazi supporter, but the germans actually had some of the most advanced technology of any military during WWII and the Xbox One is far from being the most advanced, but if what you meant was a failing strategic plan than yes there are similarities between these two subjects. Namely Hitler and whoever is running the whole Xbox debacle right now.

I am sure they would see eye to eye on many things... The whole totalitarian sort of control and checking in, DRM, et cetera.
