It is unbelieveable to me how big Zombies and FPS got this gen. Loved this gen of gaming so much but I'm excited to see exactly what next gen holds especially once the next xbox is officially announced and the rumors finally go to rest.

the last good dinosaur game I played was trespasser and that was years ago

the Turok and Dino instinct were pretty good too

I would argue that GoW ( Gears of War ) is almost on the same level as CoD. So many 3rd person games were created after that.

While I don't like to call people fanboys, clearly you're either giving Gears too much credit or think too much of the IP.

The fact is, even if your claim is true (which I doubt), most third person shooters are held with low regard. There are some exceptions, but these are few and far between. Additionally, most third person shooters seem to be "weirder" games than the more "CoD" styled FPS games, which also works against your point.

It doesn't matter if the games are held with low regard or not. Fact is that it still had a very influential position in this generation. Just because games are ''weirder'' doesn't make it any different.

Even one of Sony's most loved games were influenced by it.

I'm actually going to side with Roccetarius on this one.

They implemented the best cover based system of any TPS game this generation.

They reintroduced wave based multiplayer i.e Horde mode with which COD (World at War and the Black Ops series) followed suit with its Zombies (to me personally considering Dead Rising was not a multiplayer game then I would say apart from zombies Gears was a bigger influence in respect of this mode and I'm pretty sure that Left for Dead came out after WaW introduced zombies to COD) and Halo had temporarily with Fire Fight)

Up until Gears Judgment they had some of the most unique multiplayer with game mechanics such as Down But Not Out DBNO for the initiated, executions or finishing moves that are weapon specific, they had maps with enviromental effects that changed the way some game modes played, they put their own spin on exisiting modes such as CTF with Capture the Leader or giving you a limited amount of respawns with their own version of Team Deathmatch.

Gears of War should not be so easily dismissed as a meh exclusive for the Xbox 360 regardless of how weak the latest iteration Gears Judgment is.

Sweet Transit Review| PC | NoobFeed

NoobFeed editor Kurtis Seid writes - Sweet Transit provides a lot of tools to make a huge railway but can be very unintuitive. There isn’t much direction and you have to set goals for yourself. If you adore both trains and city building it can be rewarding. But if either aspect doesn’t appeal to you, they will never mesh right no matter what you plan out.
