Here are 10 characters that already push the limits of fair and fun that, if they’re to return for a new round of bro smashing, could use an adjustment or two, or at least a limiter.
NetherRealm confirms its Mortal Kombat franchise has sold over 80 million copies in the last 30 years, and here's how it competes against other fighters.
Don't care what anyone says, Smash isn't a traditional fighting game. May as well call Powerstone and Playstation All Stars fighting games. They're more of an arena fighter /party game.
Including Smash Bros in a list of fighting games, is like including GTA in Racing games.
The designer of the original Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 64 shows us the prototype that started it all.
Kim writes: "Super Smash Bros. will not be shown at Evo 2022, this year's biggest fighting game event. The Sony-owned sports organization announced the loss of the platformer in a statement on Twitter today, and seemed to blame the decision on Nintendo, which has historically tried to control how their games appear in the wild."
In away this hurts Nintendo Smash Bros has some dedicated fans. What better way to help build hype and sell more of the game then showcasing it at EVO.
How did I know who the number one choice was? I mean he was banned from competitions and was recently announced so I would think that he'd be balanced. Some of these characters aren't even confirmed for the roster either.
IMO, the worries over broken characters due to custom move adjustments are a non-issue.
I mean, think about it; you can't use custom moves in public online matches, only with friends, and with tournaments, you just KNOW that the competitive community is going to do EXHAUSTIVE AND INSANELY EXTENSIVE research into what will and won't be viable, if they even allow custom moves in tourneys at all.
Heck, I wouldn't be surprised to see some of them use custom moves to readjust some vanilla characters to make them more fair, if they turn out to be another case of Meta-knightis.
We just need to give the competitive community time to experiment and see what's viable before we go panicking over this and calling for nerfs and Fixes left and right.
10. Pit
9. Sonic
8. Fox/Falco
7. Ike
6. Pikachu
5. Ice Climbers...
4. Wolf
3. Sheik
2. Snake
1. Metaknight
I disagree with most of this list. Pikachu is pretty hard to play. Fox / Falco are fast but have no final smash attack and are very weak in terms of attack. Do i even need to say anything for ice climbers? Ike is very slow so he is balanced. I agree wit the rest though. Honestly i consider Brawl to be a VERY balanced game.
I don't play competitively, but I don't think any of those characters are OP except Meta Knight.
Sonic is not OP. His final smash was OP, though, and it is fixed in this new Smash Bros as the lenght of his final Smash was cut.
