BLG writes, "Some of the most popular games have had a rough start, with some of them being downright unplayable.
Despite that, developers have managed to turn it around for them and make their game worth playing. Here are some games that had a rough start but were pretty great."
Sea of Thieves... I'm not disagreeing that the game has improved in terms of content. But I feel that the most significant change between now and its release is actually the public perception. Nowadays, most people are aware that the game is a multiplayer PvP-focused experience first and foremost, and not "Black Flag made by Rare". Consequently, people dismissing the whole experience because the single-player aspect is lacking or the story is plain are much less common.
Super Mario 64 DS was offered as a launch title for the Nintendo DS, a remake of the classic platform game with a few original tricks.
Needs more appreciation. I never had an N64 so this was what I played. Sure the Yoshi hat mechanic at first is a slog but you unlock Mario and the others for real and then it takes off. Personally I never had an issue with the controls. Can't forget the mini games and the 4 player rumble over download play.

They aren't going to give more. We are talking about a company that has rereleased an 13 year old game at least 5 times.
Usually christmas period is where the 360 pulls ahead of the ps3 but sonys console seems to be holding on "according to VG"
Anyway those are good numbers, for such old machines congrats to Sony and Microsoft.
Even Nintendo wii did well :)
Edit* even though everything is down this is the twilight of this gen remember
Nice sales for all consoles. Sony held it down this year, the 360 usually pulls WAY ahead during Dec (Last year, 450k). Only a 19k difference this year. Congrats Sony and MS, this fiscal report coming up is gonna be interesting.
I'm glad to see the WiiU up there but I am shocked to still see the Wii selling. I mean there hasn't been a relevant game for that system in a year (maybe 2).
But all in all good to see consoles still going strong. Now...bring on the next gen please!
Super Robot Taisen OG, a series we'll never ever get here.
:<
the difference bewteen Sony and Ms is much slimmer than last year.... which means sony fans will not scream:
"Its Vcharts"
now it will be "good job sony".
Vcharts is only bad when Ms numbers are good. When Sony is doing well, then Vcharts is the a great source of data.
that said:
if you believe the numbers, it seems that they all did mediocre compared to last year.
