Since when is 8 player co-op make a game a MMO? It offers a story, offline mode and you can only get high player counts through mods on PC & even then the dedicated servers don't compare to the player size of actual MMO's.

This has been on PC forever as well. Its definitely coming to Xbox as well. They are a smaller studio and can probably afford to do one system at a time.

I don't think this person forgot or was even ignorant of it being on PC but most console gamers just don't register pc or mobile platform in terms of what they find "exclusive" is not going to the other consoles the is exclusive. They don't care about PC and this the title it is ps4 console exclusive. Hope this helps

Don't want to sound like a dick but most console exclusive games don't care about PC gaming and it's easy of their radar usually when this is brought up they mean console exclusive. But it's almost always taken literally. If it's not being released on another console then to them it's "exclusive" if is not coming to a rival platform. Pc is a neutral area ally to most

eh. its a pointless building sim. The story is short, predictable, and not well told. Played this game on PC a lot with a friend, building massive basses, farming supplies, only to find out there's no need to it and the game can be beaten with simple camps and very little gear along the way to the endgame. Not worth the hype especially this late in its life. Endgame is complete garbage, its basically just build build build with no additional story or drive to do so. but thats only if you pick the alternate ending.

The last exclusives were Sea of Thieves and State of Decay and the next exclusives are Fable, Halo, Gears of War, Ori, Battletoad and the upcoming Crackdown 3 which will be released on February.

The Forest is a great game, I haven't finished it yet due to Spider-Man and RDR2, but I'm looking forward to finishing it. Hopefully Xbox owners won't have too much of a wait.

I think the key point of the article is that Sony contacted the developer first. Much like Microsoft or Nintendo would if they were interested in a game that would benefit their business.
