With 2015 now in full swing, we take a look at who we believe will come out on top this year. We will be judging who has the most exciting year in terms of games coming out on the platform not in terms of sales of the console

To early to call which console will have the best. On paper they all look great but we will be the judge when we actually play the games. Love all the games I see coming down the pipeline hope they all turn out to be great experiences.

What a stupid article. The comparison at this point is not fair, firstly because it is waay to early to tell, and Sony will probably release their BIG exclusives throughout this year while Microsoft will release their BIG exclusives during holiday 2015. For example Sony's BIG exclusive the order just came out and next month bloodborne will be released and so on. And Microsoft's BIG Exclusives like Halo 5, Quantum Break, Forza 6, and the timed exlusive Tomb Raider will all be released during holiday 2015

Stiffler3406d ago

+1 Well said to the both of you.

All platforms have a nice lineup due to hit the gaming front by the end of 2015. It's simply too early to tell "who has the best exclusives". Even when their out, it's always going to be subjective and hard to compare imo.

Looking like a good year ahead for gamers

Why o why3406d ago

Nice one guys

Good to read

Mwally293406d ago

Like I said in the article they all have excellent exclusives. In my opinion I like the looks of sonys more. It's more to look at the best exclusives of the year.

Pogmathoin3406d ago (Edited 3406d ago )

If you cannot get gaming bluss from either console, then there something wrong with you.... Both have plenty to offer this year....

For me, Quantum would make me want an Xbox, No Mans Sky would make me want PS4..... But then again, overhyped and average?? Who knows........ Thats why te fillers known and Elder Scrolls and Fallout are always needed..... Games can keep you busy for months...

mikeslemonade3406d ago

PS4 wins by default because 1080p is exclusive for more games on the PS4 than the XB1. That is also gonna be a factor.

Lightning Mr Bubbles3406d ago (Edited 3406d ago )

I think PS4 has more deph but XBOX One has Halo 5.

I think Bloodborne, Street Fighter V, and Uncharted 4 will be hits, Until Dawn might be a cult hit, I doubt it will be mainstream. The Order already bombed.

XBOX One has Halo 5 and Tomb Raider which will be hits especially Halo 5. Forza will be average and Quantum Break or whatever will probably bomb.

It's gonna come down to a tag match between Halo 5/Tomb Raider vs Uncharted 4/Street Fighter this holiday and I give the slight edge to Halo 5/Tomb Raider but not enough to change the course of this console race or anything.

Edit: to my "personal" taste, I think PS4 wins because of Bloodborne and Until Dawn, I like the horror over the action and Sci Fi.

wonderfulmonkeyman3406d ago

Yeah, same for Nintendo.
Zelda has yet to drop, Star Fox is confirmed to drop before that, and we've still got Xenoblade Chronicles X, Splatoon, and Devil's Third to go before those.

And that's not even counting indies.

We're gonna have tons of games to look forward to regardless of console, this year.

Mwally293406d ago

My way thinking to come the conclusion of ps4 having my favourite was if I did not have a console as of yet. Which one would I buy going on the games.

freshslicepizza3406d ago

from what we know so far i would say the wii u then the ps4 and finally the xbox one.

e3 will be huge this year

kwandar3406d ago (Edited 3406d ago )

Lots of gaming joy this year, but people seem to leave out Nintendo, which has:

Devil's Third
Zelda
Xenoblade X
Fatal Frame
Splatoon
Star Fox
Mario Maker
Yoshi's Wooly WOrld
Fire Emblem, ...

I love games.. Gonna buy them all.

Magicite3406d ago

This year is gonna be big cos each console got its flagship title sequel:
PS4 - Uncharted 4
WiiU - Zelda U
X1 - Halo 5
Those are guaranteed to be successful.
For bonus u can throw in Bloodborne, Xenoblade X and Quantum Break, which also will be highly rated.
So it seems, nobody is gonna be left behind.

Subaruwrx3406d ago

@Magicite - You assume too much - there's no guarantee that Bloodborne, Xenoblade and Quantum Break will be highly rated. That said, Uncharted 4, Zelda and Halo 5 will probably be successful even if they're not highly rated.

OB1Biker3406d ago

Higly rated game *
Its not the highly rated BS score that matters but I guess a lot of people still don't get it

ABizzel13406d ago

When it comes to AAA exclusives that we know of, so far all 3 have delivered for 2015, and are neck and neck.

The tipping scale is when you count every exclusive, and that's where the PS4 breaks away because it has a HUGE amount of indies, and non-AAA exclusive coming for 2015.

Wii U has a bunch of A-games comes this year, while XBO has a decent amount of indies announced to combat that.

2015 is a great year for any console owner.

Gemmol3406d ago

its either you do not be on here that much or whatever, but Wii U have a lot of indie games, theres more indie articles on here for Wii U, then there is for ps4, there is a youtube trailer, showing how much it got, so if going by your words that indies help ps4 break away, then that means since wii u have a ton of indies it break away from ps4 and xbox one.

remember its 3rd parties that Wii U do not have, indies they have a ton of that and they just keep on coming, they just cancel a vita/ps4 indie other day and made it a Wii U exclusive.....you got to read more articles bro

ABizzel13406d ago (Edited 3406d ago )

@Gemmol

Including indies, PS4 has around 50 console exclusives announced for 2015. I haven't checked all of Nintendo's, but from what I've seen so far their in the 20 - 30 (most retail games), and so is MS (most indies).

Edit

Sry I gave an older number, it's up to 70 now.

Loadedklip3405d ago

True but I trust Nintendo more.

Zelda U
Star Fox U by Miyamoto himself
Xenoblade Chronocials X
Mario Maker

These four are as guarantee as you can get to being fantastic.

Then you have potential hits with

Itagaki's Devil's Third
Yoshi's Woodly World (don't have much faith in Yoshi games but who knows)
Splatoon
Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem IF it is still coming in 2015

So far released ... Kirby Rainbow Curse > The Order by a good margin in both critic score and in reviewer score.

Nintendo's minor problem though is that their attention is split on home console and portables so many of their other strong exclusives will be on 3DS instead of Wii U.

kwandar3405d ago

You forgot Fatal Frame: Sodden Raven

Foehammer3406d ago (Edited 3405d ago )

Hard to tell at this point.

Non of the good games come out till the fall.

EDIT @ Efferia, ppl said the same about The Order.

eferreira3406d ago

mlb, bloodbourne and axium verge comes out next month. Those are good. Plus any multiplats that come

WESKER20153406d ago

for now xbox one has my most anticipated titles, if it wasnt for until dawn and uncharted 4 i probably wouldnt want play my ps4 at all at the moment, just completed second son, killzone bored me i will wait for the order to drop in price, had no interest in LBP and driveclub looked underwhelming and already had forza 5, bloodborne is not my cup of tea, but TLOU destroys everything so far, defo one of my faves, game is just too tight ;), i buy all my multiplats on XB1 because i am used to the pad, in my opinion xbox one has the stronger exclusives lineup more so if we are talking about triple A games, at the end of the day this is all opinion though, i have always been an xbox guy, from the first xbox to the latest, playstation(except for PS1 and PS2) consoles always get purchased second, behind xbox consoles

Mwally293406d ago

You are one of the lucky ones who has both consoles. Im thinking of picking up a Wii U. they are at a good price now. to go alongside the ps4.

WESKER20153406d ago

yeah, i am thinking of getting a Wii U in the future

Subaruwrx3406d ago

@ Wesker Apparently, by your own words, you haven't always been a Xbox guy first since the PS2 and original Xbox coexisted and you purchased, by the inference of your own words, the PS2 first.

WESKER20153406d ago (Edited 3406d ago )

nope, because the xbox original came out a year later and ps2 was the dominant console at that time, soon as the xbox dropped i got one, i owned a dreamcast(well lots of them) as well, so my comment stands true, if the ps2 was the only console at that time and the xbox had not been released until a year later how could xbox be my first choice?

Clunkyd3406d ago (Edited 3406d ago )

It doesnt matter for me, I own all current platforms. I can say is that by far console exclusives are more fun to play and the AAA level of quality makes it even better.
As far as PC "exclusives" go, BHAHAHAHA X'D

The butthurt PC fanboys, incoming...

Tedakin3406d ago

I think it's split pretty evenly. Tho a couple of the biggest ones I'm looking forward to, Ori and No Man's Sky, are both on PC as well.

iliimaster3406d ago

gears of war collection remastered...... thats all i gotta say men

Immorals3406d ago

Fingers crossed, but I don't want to get hyped over something that might not even happen this year!

getrektedmate3406d ago (Edited 3406d ago )

@Immorals I hope it comes out this year since GOW 4 is coming out next year? Correct me if I am wrong. BTW it's me ih8pa1n I added you on Xbox one several months ago. Sucks that I never got that Xbox preview invite that you sent me but whatever.

kickerz3406d ago

For me I would prefer a new gears of war then just playing the same remastered games.

ABizzel13406d ago

2 remasters I'm hoping for

Gears of War and Uncharted.
