The Mario and Sonic games are developed, if I'm not mistaken, by Sega. No offense to Sega, but they appear to only just be getting the hang of how to put their own mascot into a game.
If it's not a sports game, I'd expect something like Mario and Sonic Party or something.

I'm pretty sure the DS phat was $229-$249 when it was released. Guys that's what happens when a new handheld is released. I expect $229, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was $249. That's completely fair.
You're right. It was knocking it out of the park and surpassing everyone's (including this loyal Nintendo fan's) expectations that means they won. Everyone expected a good conference, what with Zelda and 3DS. Those alone would have been enough to surpass the last couple years. But instead they kicked ass and went above and beyond. This is a great time to be into video games. There's exciting things going on for everyone!
Wii Play doesn't come bundled with the console, but the controller. Honestly, that game is awful. As a Nintendo fan, I wish other Nintendo fans would stop being all "omg sweet look at our sales". That's just as bad as any other annoying fanboy. I'm a fan of games and Nintendo just so happens to make some of my favourites.
Come on now. You don't have to like Zelda to recognize how great of a franchise it is. The Last Guardian does look sick though!
The way people see gaming has changed so much. I don't remember hearing people complain about the Gameboy this way: "God Nintendo, we don't want a gameboy advanced, let us stick with our Colors."

Ocarina of Time did a lot more for gaming in it's generation than Uncharted 2 has, and maybe more than any game since. You don't have to like, love, or bow down to it, but you should have a little respect. Without Ocarina, games like Uncharted 2 wouldn't exist!
I'm a huge Zelda fan. I even have the Hylian emblem tattooed on my forearm [/nerd]. As great as Twilight Princess was, when I think back to it I always feel disappointed. This could be because of the hype or maybe it truly wasn't as memorable as past Zeldas.

This is the "DS2". It's the successor to the DS, not just a new iteration.
Not giving Samus a voice wasn't out of laziness lol. You can't play the Prime games and even claim those are lazy. I'd wager you haven't played them, because honestly it's just Samus alone. That's what the series has always been about.

There's too many types of gamers for one console to ever "win". For that to happen, everyone would have to agree and, this generation especially, that doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon. I'd say the only consoles to come close to that in their generations would be the NES, SNES and the PS2, but even then there were still diehards of other consoles.
As bad of a rap this "console war" gets for being full of fanboys, I think it's great...
