This was the response I came here to post. Word for word.
I think the beyond recognition part went a little to far. Metal gear, prince of persia, gta....these are evolved games that I like because they are recongnizable. They follow The zelda formula of "evolve or die." While trying to stay true to it roots.

The 360 downloads software when its turned off?
I mean, its either ON or OFF. If your telling me I can start a download on the 360, turn off the system, and unplug it (because it doesnt need to be plugged in if its off), you can shut up and take my money RIGHT NOW.
The 3ds didn't fail, its a great system that lacks games. I met several 3ds owners at a pokemon card convention (yeah, I know), and the only complaint was that everyone used it to play old ds games. Not one person complained about eye strain or headaches from playing 3d titles, and we were all really happy with this iteration of the ds over previous releases. The system only fails because of the lack of worthy content, to date there are only 2 games worth playing, zelda and street fighter...
PS4 and 360 still have a little time left in their lifespan. Nintendo has captured a market, and killed off another, what they need is to bring the harcore back. Anyone eager for a new technology will jump on this if the price is right. What it needs is complete backwards compatability, remotes and all with a option to carry over wii 1 information/data. Better online, with more options for both DS and 3DS users.....why did only one game support DS connectivity? I should have the option to pla...
Nice post! I'm suprised that no one points out that Microsoft is more a software company than anything else.....you know....the biggest in the world and all. I dont have the exact data on me, but truth be told that when a version of windows is released, they average like 300 coding errors per 1000 lines of code. Whether this includes uneccessary code, badly written code, or code that contains errors....im not sure. To expect perfection out of something as big as sony/google/microsoft/amaz...
Between Metal Gear, Zelda, Resident Evil, and the system update in May I have plenty to look forward too in the very near future. My biggest complaint isnt in what the system is lacking as of now, since it just got released. However my complaint is aimed more toward the lack of information/details on upcoming games. Every site I look at points to a June release for Metal Gear and Zelda, but I would like a more definitive date. Guess im stuck playing one or two of the thirty plus DS games I ha...
I dont understand why phone service is non sense. Why not google voice for phone/txt. Is there any reason why this device doesnt connect to a bluetooth headset? Such an option requires no change to form factor. I find this disappointing as google voice + bluetooth = win, 3g or not as I use wifi hot spots on my droid much more than the 3g that can never seem to find a signal.
Seems to me that the author was comaparing GE:wii to GE:n64 a little too much. I found the game to be best of the three.
I too am a fan of final fantasy xiii. I read through the posts but did not see (could be mistaken) anyone mention anything about the weapons development in this game. Absolutely horrible!!! Its also the only thing stopping me from receiving a completion trophy. The combat started slow, became great, and then repeatative. I personally liked the characters, and as I do agree about towns and the ability to back track I also feel like the lack of towns was justified given the nature of the story....
Absolutely love this game. Anyone who misses out on this new "vision," (not remake) needs to set their ego aside.
Any other MGO players notice the emergency maint. on 6/14/10, first day of e3? Possible update?
Id lke mgs4 to have dlc. But to be fair, 4 months to unlock content on a disc is different from 4 years and fresh content.
