Im sure you are right about the hacking thing but you have to realize that nothing done outside sony will beat live and they way its integrated everywhere on the xbox. I mean its not possible to take a produkt and smack it into a highly costomized machine and think it will work for millions of users i under 2 months time.

Soo sony didn´t make an own software how should they be able to keep up with M$ online god they on a loose string. I mean regardles how Xfire works today how about future are Sony going to wait for a third party to code their online environment

If you read this article it says "T as Insomniac will be supporting buddy lists, clans, and so on (within the game's own infrastructure, it was said, and not within a generalized PS3 online interface)." Probably means there will be no unified online and thats realy sux
