If this ends up being an announcement of a gen remake so soon after Sword & Shield then I'm done. It's been 2 months and they haven't even bothered patching out the frame rate issues and bugs
Curious to see what they'll talk about. Hopefully they give me a reason to want to play more cause Shield didn't hold my attention after the stories end
Not technically part of the decade, but it released two months before the start of the decade so I'll mention it anyway. 3D Dot Game Heroes.
It's pretty disgusting seeing everyone ride this Death Stranding hate wave for the clicks. Idk what's worse these sites baiting or all the idiots believing and joining in hating a game they most likely haven't played.
I wouldn't call adding SNES games a "step forward". It's online service is not at all worth the $20 a year they ask for. They took an entire year after the Switch's launch to implement this service. It's been 2 years now and all they have to give are a shite selection of NES/SNES games and TETRIS.
Ngl I thought they were going to stick to shooters, but I'm glad they didn't. I like when devs don't stick to just one genre. I hope they make all sorts of games across different genres and budgets, and continue being creative rather than growing stale. Of course I hope EA doesn't bury em alive aswell.
I like my Switch, it's a neat concept, but IMHO it's poorly executed by Nintendo. So many design flaws, it's almost like they didn't bother thinking it through. The VITA I consider the best handheld ever made. It's literally a portable PlayStation with all the features people have come to except as standard. I think most of the switches problems could be addressed with an update but after 3 years I doubt ninty is gonna do anything.
"Its roots" I think people need to play the original cause I don't think most are remembering correctly how that game was when comparing BotW to it.
It's definitely not a 10 from what I've played so far, more like an 8
I don't think keeping it in the style of the first two is lazy. Would be easier I'd say making it a modern sequel rather than putting in the effort to keep it as if the game had the chance of releasing back for the Dreamcast. It's completely intentional, I think that much is obvious. As for it being cheap to buy now, that's not really any indication of anything. Bestbuy had Death Stranding for 30 bucks 2 weeks ago, games go on sale all the time
I think those who found it disappointing don't understand what this have was meant to be. It's a SEQUEL to Shenmue 2, not a modern reboot. If it plays outdated it's because they designed it that way, to play as if they had made it 20 years ago. If you expected anything else that's your problem, don't force your expectations onto things.
But didn't they replace loot boxes with something worse? The benchmark is set by the countless games that don't have loot boxes or shady monetization who continue proving that there's no need for them at all. I have nothing against Epic, but their over priced character skins for Fortnite set a horrible standard that too many full priced games have already followed. They're the last company I'd praise for anything related to this subject
Personally I cant get into the side scrolling MegaMan games. For me however the best Megaman game is the Battle Network series
I have no doubt the tech inside will be impressive by console standards. After all consoles are optimized for gaming more than anything. My expectations are low for the games that will be shown. It's easy to be swept by hype of a good looking game, but I wanna see something truly different. Too many third person action/adventure games, I want to see something really impressive.
The Frozen level in KH3 was the worst. It's pacing was horrible and it's only memorable because of how big of waste of time it was. Going up the mountain only to be pushed off and made to go back up just to go back down was ridiculous.
It really doesn't
They should try America again someday, just don't make it as boring as the third
Still doesn't have themes, custom backgrounds, and in system voice and text chat. I don't think it ever will either, and an achievement system wouldn't be a bad thing. I don't understand people's logic about not wanting an achievement/trophies. It doesn't take anything away from games or the system
That's some high levels of absurdity.
I'll always be interested in dedicated gaming handhelds, but seeing as this is Alienware I doubt the price will be anywhere near affordable
