I got my key yesterday, but I have a friend who really wanted it so I gave it to him. He got his keys earlier today, so he should be giving me one of the codes (he signed up for two different email accounts) so I can try it out later today.
Yeah, this is a completely separate game than the console version, and it expands the story. Which is exactly why its stupid to say that PS3/360 owners shouldn't buy it. If you are a fan of the game, you should play the others games in the series to get more about the story and to simply enjoy more of the series. Its like saying that people who own Resistance 2 shouldn't buy Resistance: Retribution because its not as good. Its not the same game, so its obviously going to be a little bit d...

Its a shame that they have the exclusive license to use the NFL, because the only reason that I really buy Madden is because there is no alternative. If there could be an NFL game at the quality of NBA 2K9 or MLB 09 The Show then I would be amazingly happy. Its a shame that it won't happen for a very, very long time.

Did anyone doubt that they would make a ton of games in the Gears universe? I mean, I'd be pretty surprised if they didn't.
But the thing that makes the first person cover thing remotely different from anything else is that you can lean and shoot while in cover, which is new for the first person view. You do not have to do this, and you can play the game exactly like you would any other shooter. All I am saying is that the game does not force you to use its first-person cover mechanic, which is a positive, not a negative. No need to get all upset.
The demo for this game is amazingly addicting.
I enjoyed the demo, I'll have to pick this game up eventually.

Not really, you can just use the traditional duck/hide behind object strategy just like every other FPS. I am referring specifically to Killzone 2's first person cover thing.
Also, the demo didn't have the harder difficulties, so I don't think that you can really comment on what is and isn't a necessity in harder difficulties.
Well I like the fact that the game isn't really built around the cover, so it is not a necessity. If you like it, then you can use it, but if not, you aren't penalized for it.

People who do those things are stupid. Its fine that you are acting against his trolling, but responding to trolling by calling him gay just makes you look like you are afraid of somebody not liking your precious game.

Gaming could be a serious industry, similar to movies, if only people like this would shut up. Not that I don't like the guys, but when you start things like this, using lines like 'it's on like Donkey Kong', it makes the industry look as immature as the general public perceives it to be. Why can't somebody accept that another person might have a different opinion and/or taste in games, resulting in a different game of the year?
