Sony just has to do something original. The PSP is just a higher powered GBA. Same kind of layout, and interface. Yeah, it has it's gizmos. But nothing original. People had already seen that. And those console tie ins don't sell handhelds, they shouldn't waste anymore time on that. They have to focus on fun, not specs. Will it happen? I doubt it.
Sony just likes trashing everybody else. Why don't they just let their products do the talking.
Plus, I just love how these guys are saying apple products are overpriced. Look at the ifixit teardowns of the ipad versus nexus one. Ipad cost $249, sell price $499. Nexus one cost $179, selling price $529. Hmmmm. Which one is overpriced? Somebody's phone is a rip off. Or it could just be that the ipad is reasonably priced.

I don't see this thing going very far. The glasses are 200 each, so what are you going to do for your friends when they come by? And frankly, 3D is great in the theater because of the size of the screen. To get a good effect, it has to cover a significant amount of your field of view. Otherwise, it's just tacky. I'm passing on this. Something better will be out soon enough.
I don't know about do more, and the experience well. I've got one, and the screen is even lower res than the ipad (1024 x 600, same as hp slate), the battery doesn't last more that 3.5 hours (i got the large one that sticks out the back), and the intel atom sucks. I can't even watch the youtube HD gameplay videos, have to use my desktop for that. But yeah, i can have a bunch of programs running at 1/4 speed or slower, until the bsod shows up.

The guy never actually says that macs are easier to attack, just that it is possible. Fact is, with windows the default account is administrator. That basically means that without a password, anything can be done to the machine. With macs and all nix's, a password is required. Basic, but enough to prevent most attacks. That foliage is pretty good, would have to check if it's on par with crysis. But it doesn't really fit with the theme of gears. I just think they are showing the improvements in the engine to sell it. Just goes to show, UE3 still has some room to grow.

I am a mac person, and have an xbox. The xbox is closer to an old power mac than a pc in terms of hardware. Anybody who thinks the xbox is like a pc needs to give their head a shake. And the reason i like the xbox, is because it is locked down. Out of all MS's os's, the xbox is the only one i haven't a crash or otherwise undesired results in four years, precisely because the hardware is locked down.

Except for grammar and punctuation. He also seems to know very little about video encoding. VC1 is actually used a lot on bluray movies, along with h.264. The bit rates are variable, but both codecs are comparable in quality. And mpeg4 is NOT h.264. But he did copy and paste from a web page. So I guess these days that passes for "doing your homework".
I think it's pretty obvious we're moving to all digital distribution. It makes it so much easier logistically. The margins can be much higher, so the quality of the game has a better chance of being high (less risk in putting out a digital game). Most people who game have high speed internet.
