yeah dismissing this hype as fanboyism is irrelevant considering that the now confirmed price drop and model will appeal most to consumers who don't own a PS3.
This is a rather weak case for the 360 considering that the writer never mentions about any of Sony's upcoming console exclusive titles or the motion controller and compares them to the 360's offerings. The writer is also rather dismissive of the hardware's durability issues.
I think MS would have made a bigger splash if they had phased the arcade sku and moved pro to the $199.99 price point and dropped elite to $299.99. For Sony if rumours are true about the slim they should release slim at the current price $399.99 and cut production of the current version and drop price to $349.99 or $329.99 to phase it out

I would have to go with the performance (60 FPS). Performance will always enhance gameplay which is the heart of any good video game.
I see this as a move on Capcom's part to stuff KoF 12's initial sales. This along with moving MvC 2's release on the same week as KoF is quite the underhanded move but understandable considering it's a business.
yeah this isn't much of a stretch at this point side by side at equal pricing the Slim will appeal most to consumers. Going beyond the intial feature sets leads to a more subjective and relative approach which the average consumer will not do.
