This seems like a game to be on the look-out for in 2021. Great review!
I never really got on board with manager-style games. Being a behind the scenes player never really interested me. However, if this review is anything to go by, this game may just be worth checking out.
Capcom seem to be including the same things every time they release a special edition of their Devil May Cry games. It was fine the first time, but we really should be getting more by now. However, at the end of the day, it's still Devil May Cry V... and Devil May Cry V is awesome.
I gave up on annualised franchises a long time ago. However, I'm glad to see that some of these franchises are beginning to take the right steps. Reception towards this game and Assassin's Creed: Valhalla has been mostly positive. Of course, who doesn't love Viking action, and Cold War drama?
I love me some mythology, Greek and Norse being my favourites. This sounds like it provides some thrilling Viking action. Don't worry, I share your opinion on today's open-world maps being too large. Give me a smaller, intimate, and lively open-world map any day of the week.
I'm honestly amazed that Tetris has endured for this long. It may just be time to let the franchise die, but if they can continue to do new and exciting things with it, then I might be convinced to change my tune.
I loved Codemasters racing games when I was a kid. Glad to see they've not lost their touch. Great review!!
I hate early access practices, and 50 quid is a lot of money to spend on an unfinished game. In my opinion, that kind of money should only be charged when you're confident your game will work as intended. I'm glad to hear Callum enjoyed his time with the game in its current state, though.
This sounds like a game I would hate. I can't stand walking sims. To me, they're monotonous, and not at all fun. Terrific review though. At least that's a good thing that's come out of it.
There's nothing more exhilarating than a decent virtual driving experience.
I've always found what's beneath the sea to be both eerily mysterious, and oddly calming. I imagine this would be quite the experience.
What really turned me off the PS3 release of The Last of Us was that it told a great story, but the gameplay was rather lacking. I haven't had much time to play the sequel yet, but the gameplay still fails to thrill me. If the narrative is more generic this time around, I may regret loosing 50 quid. Regardless, I'm willing to give it time.
Smashing review.
A great read that we all need. Terrific work.
This certainly sounds like the type of game that would greatly frustrate me.
It's definitely a reticle that is best suited for PC.
Very glad to hear it. Continue to catch 'em all.
I hadn't even heard of the series until I sat down to play this game. I may, indeed, give it a look in. This game was enjoyable for me, though the missions were far too long for my liking and the army of enemies forced me to take them all out before I felt even remotely comfortably about moving on which, yes, took a lot of time.
This simply cannot be overstated. I. LOVE. FANTASY. That's why if I'm to jump into the Elder Scrolls series, I will probably do with it Skyrim and treat it more seriously than I did when I was 14.
The Max Payne series is among my all-time favourites in gaming. A result of the era I miss so dearly. However, Remedy truly are a company that have continued to innovate throughout the many years they've been working in the gaming industry. Another great article, here.
