I think far cry 4 used it well for the weapon wheel.
The site "lazygamer" and an article about an MGS stealth game doesn't seem to bode well.
The article does make some valid points.
In my opinion i think MGS had to evole over the years and an open world stealth seems like the most logical step forward.
Consider that the game mechanics are mosty from Peace Walker (fulton, motherbase development...etc) that is not a departure from MGS and lots enjoyed Peace Walker.

Come on man, there are only a few remastered games. Taking Playstation as an example Uncharted Collection, GOW III and The Last of Us don't equate to 'many'.
You can make the arguments for last gen ports, but this has been going on for ages.
Not all games are broken at launch and waiting for reviews is not always necessary with developers who have a proven track record of good quality control.
It is a gamble most of the time but i don't mind paying a little extra for some day one titles because my yearly budget allows for 2-3 day one games.
Fortunately the games that i am not desperate to play due to uncertainty, drop in price fairly quickly. This way i manage to save whilst they are eventual...
Developers probably think they are speaking in confidence with these "reporters" and suddenly the information get leaked citing an "anonymous" source.

I don't really understand what the fuss is about. I can count on one hand the amount of remastered games I'm interested in.
A lot of the remasters are not done by the main studio and are usually outsourced by specialists. They provide some extra revenue and bridge the gap between future releases.
It's understandable to want new experiences but if it wasn't for some remasters people would miss out on some great games.
I never understood why the lag online is so bad in NBA 2K, especially when timing is so important in basketball. I guess they won't bother fixing it since NBA Live is no longer competition to them.
If I'm not mistaken, i think the harley quinn dlc is included in all pre-orders. So it looks like Gamespot and GAME (UK) bought exclusivity for the red hood story dlc.
Although there are reasons why the Arkham games should not be remastered, i have a hard time reading between the lines of this opinion.
