You're telling me. I freaked out on Wednesday when they announced the release date. I had to scramble to find a review code.
Yeah. How dare I review that game as it launched. It's only like that's the game people are currently paying money for. It's not like I'm not going to write an update to the review once the raids come out.
Oh wait. That's exactly what I'm going to be doing.
Because Brace Yourself Games are charging money for the product. It's only ethical that people know what they're paying for, finished or not.
Okay, as the person who wrote the Titanfall review, I'll tell you why I gave it a high score:
To put it bluntly, I didn't care about the limited feature set. What made the game stand out to me personally was the stellar design that appeal to both hardcores and the FPS-averse alike. I didn't really care that there were only 10 primary weapons or 3 titan chassis or whatever. All I cared about was that it was fun as hell to play.
Yeah, hi. I wrote that 9.5 review. I had nothing to do with the inFamous review. So, you know, cool your jets, bro.
I make a point of saying in the review that I thought the hype machine was a bit much. However, the game is genuinely damn good and worth a try.
On the Xbone updates are fairly simple. No need to screw around with files for past updates. That may of course be because the system still has yet to add any sort of robust storage setting area, but there ya go.
It really is. I hope it keeps that up with future episodes.
